Marcia was National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority 1996-2000, but did not enter politics until 2000 when she became Mayor of a Cleveland suburb 2000-2008. Always ran for Congress since 2008 unopposed or gets 80%+ of the vote. Generally thought to be fair and balanced and definitely pro-Black.
