fair choice, but elaborate as to why.

Why not take a chance on a player that could be the next Dirk. A versatile 7 footer who's capable of playing the 3. Hell, the players taken after him haven't made a peep all season. Have you even seen Yi Jianlian play? I doubt it. He has skills...and he wasn't timid early on like Yao.Lets see where he is in 3 years before we start condemning the dude

You definitely haven't seen him play. He has nice range on his shot.
I dont care about the Bucks or Yi, but I've watched them play, unlike you. I know talent when I see it and I'm just speaking on it. Know what you're talking about before you speak without making dumbass comments when it's obvious you're just looking at boxscores and not watching actual games.

Danny Ainge is the most stupid GM in the history of the NBA

Moses Malone went on to become an ALL STAR with Washington while Brittle Foot BARELY PLAYED AND RETIRED THE FOLLOWING SEASON... Brad Daugherty went on to become ROOKIE OF THE YEAR and a 5x ALL STAR... While ROY HINSON... well... He could DUNK BUT... that's about it...
Cliff Robinson was OK... BUT... He wasn't MOSES...

#1 Pat Williams...
IN what was... BY FAR... The ABSOLUTE... HANDS DOWN... DUMBEST TRADE IN NBA HISTORY...
This asshole... DICKHEAD... who had THE #1 pick the 1986 NBA DRAFT... Traded Moses Malone and Terry Cattledge for JEFF'BRITTLE FOOT' Ruland and Cliff Robinson... THEN traded THE #1 pick in the draft(Brad Daugherty) for ROY HINSON...Moses Malone went on to become an ALL STAR with Washington while Brittle Foot BARELY PLAYED AND RETIRED THE FOLLOWING SEASON... Brad Daugherty went on to become ROOKIE OF THE YEAR and a 5x ALL STAR... While ROY HINSON... well... He could DUNK BUT... that's about it...
Cliff Robinson was OK... BUT... He wasn't MOSES...
Now... To be fair to Pat... He has made some BRILLIANT trades in his life... BUT... the '86 trades will go on as the DUMBEST TRADES IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA...![]()

The thing is... a declining Moses Malone was STILL AN ALL-STAR... Cliff Robinson was pretty decent for the Sixers and Roy Hinson was... DECENT... BUT JEFF FUCKIN RULAND...i think moses malone is the best high school player to become professional, but i don't have a problem with him being moved in that 1986 trade. moses malone's O had already begun to decline at that time. what was terrible about that trade was that in addition to 2 players, the 76ers also gave up 2 1st round picks, mortgaging their future.
i'm also not sure that cliff robinson ever played a game as a 76er in good physical condition.
roy hinson was a good, solid, hard working player, but trading away the draft pick for him was by far a much bigger blunder.
had the 76ers kept their draft picks in 1986, they could've drafted brad daugherty and mark price. or brad daugherty and dennis rodman. or brad daugherty and nate mcmillan. or brad daugherty and jeff hornacek. or brad daugherty and kevin duckworth. or brad daugherty and arvydas sabonis.

The Sixers had a chance to RE-TOOL LIKE A MUTHAFUCKA in that draft... Moses and Doc were on their way out... Barkley just got there... Cheeks was getting older... That's why they should have kept the #1 pick and got Daugherty...
