I'm just not understanding...why can't Cris Carter get in da HOF?!?!?

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

man FJP if you respond to this idiocy than youre just as much of fool as he is

Cowboy fans just don't want to hear the truth! He didn't deserve to be in the Hall! The playoffs have nothing to do with getting in in the first place. There are plenty of players who got in that never played in the playoffs or never did much to get in. ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO TRY TO SAY THAT IRVING NUMBERS ARE MBETTER THAN AVERAGE?

i will ask you this question one more time

what kind of offense did Irvin play in?????

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Alright fuck it....you baited me. Did you just say the playoffs have nothing to do with it?:lol::lol::lol:

Again...336 rec. 5,462yds 16.3ypc 51TDs Those are Lynn Swanns stats. Shit worst than eveyrbody in question. Yet Swann...first ballot. Because of POSTSEASON success...winning EVERYTHING. To get in with no postseason success a player has to be utterly dominant to the point you cant ignore...EXAMPLE Barry Sanders. Barry with a couple rings would probably be considered the greatest player ever. At the same time he was so dominant, he had to get in. His impact. The way he changed the entire gameplan of the other team...was hall worthy.

Swann and the rest of the guys on those steeler teams got in solely because they were the first dinasty. I never thought that Swann should have been a HOF!!

The HAll is only about numbers!! Not playoff or superbowl wins! Solely what a player has done in his individual career. And I will say it as long as you do not wish to accept it but Irvings #'s were just average. He and Clark are almost identical in every category even down to the # of pro bowls (5) each and the # of 1st team all pro selections (1) each. They both have had playoff success and multiple rings, so if #'s are what get you in why isn't Clark even being considered?

And what exactly did "Carters" Vikings do at all in that time? Nothing. Thats the point. Im not saying Carter wasnt good. But being hall of fame to me is ANOTHER level. A level that needs to stop being "given" away because of big stats.

And what has Moss ever won???... Im not deying Moss is a better athlete, but just because a player is on a TEAM that doesnt win, mean absolutly nothing... Carter was a better receiver, no point in tryin to argue that point.

Fuck Cris Carter. Ever since he said on InsideThe NFL when it was on HBO that he should go into the HOF before Art Monk, I lose some respect for him.

Before all these cats started doing their thing, there was Art Monk!

and it took him that long to get in...make the Bama wait!!

The hall is NOT only about numbers, thats why you keep missing the damn point. At no point does it say that. The hall honors the greats who have given great contributions to the sport... Super Bowl wins are the biggest contribution a player can have outside of stats. Not just stats, what did your stats mean. Clark wont get in because he wasnt the preimminent WR threat on his own team, Monk was... Not one time did I say Irvin had exceptional numbers...but he was an exceptional contributor to an exceptional team.

It is just about #'s! Individual #'s. Average #'s equal average player and that's what Irving was... AVERAGE WITH A BIG MOUTH AND ALL THE BS THAT CAME WITH IT.

Moss had a larger impact. Carter was definitely a better all around WR...However Moss was WAY more dominant at the position. Far more. Moss was the most feared player at his position for damn near half his career. Atleast Moss has gone to the Super Bowl. A player that is on a team that doesnt win means alot. Look at how marinos legacy is hindered by not winning.

Well ok man, you keep thinking that......while you wait for Gary Clark to get in the hall:lol:

I don't get it either. Shit is deep lately. Stats have balooned and now folks will end up waiting if your name isn't Rice or Emmitt.

Don't you realize that Moss was able to do what he did in Minn because he had Carter on the other side of him? Moss hasn't come close to doing what he did in Minn since. The Pats could have had me @ the wr spot and still gone to the superbowl. Moss was not the reason they got there. Didn't they get there with Troy Brown and some other no name wr? Moss won't get in the Hall! You know all they are gonna say is he didn't play hard every play and never duplicated the #'s he did when he had Carter on the field with him.

ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO TRY TO SAY THAT IRVING NUMBERS ARE MBETTER THAN AVE he avergaeRAGE?

Irvin was a regular for 8 years. Over those 8 straight years he averaged 83 catches, 1,300 Yards (15.7 Avg.) and 6 TDs per year (while also winning Super Bowls). That's WAY above "average" for ANY receiver, nevermind a tough, possession type one.

Moss was the beneficiary of Chris Carter?????

so they double teamed Carter for years huh and just let randy run free???

child please!!!!!!!!!!1

and Moss hasnt done anything with Tom Brady huh???

dude just stop

youre funny as fuck :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

So Moss didnt break the Receiving TD record in 2007 on New England? No ONE player is the reason any team makes it to the Super Bowl. But when you contribute GREATLY to a great team, you reap the accolades. Bottom line is Moss has continued his great numbers well after Carter. Carter been gone since 2002 its 8 years later and Moss is still top 7-8. Moss has more than earned his keep.

On the real man Blunt just ended the argument right here.

The Difference between Ed and Mike are.....Mike actually started and put in work for his rings, dont insult that man with that bullshit comparison.:lol:

And Ed didn't? Ed started on BOTH those Denver Superbowl teams. Ed had to LEAVE the 9ers in order to start.

I dont get the hate on Irvin...not going to repeat any of the stats because they have already been posted by you cats.. but Only Irvin and Rice consistently abused Deion Sanders because they were perfect route runners...

I'm a HUGE Sanders fan, and sadly, I have to co sign this. Being that Irvin made his living across the middle, that was too much contact for Prime.

Just talked to a reporter from espn.com who use to come on my show and talk eagle's football and he told me that the reason Carter didn't get in is because Rice was on the ballot and he was definitely gonna be a 1st ballot inductee and they were only gonna pick one WR. Carter will go in next year.

In 2 years Rod Smith better be on the first HOF ballot:

Rec: 849
Yards: 11389
TDs: 68
Superbowl wins: 2

And he better get in.

Irvin wasn't a perfect route runner. That nigga was "Captain Push-Off".

Receivers who ABUSED Deion (in no particular order):

Jerry Rice
John Taylor
Chris Carter
Andre Reed
Art Monk
Jake Reed
Don Bebe
Sterling Sharpe
Jame Lofton

Whoa! Andre Rison was ROBBED. Why wasn't he on any of the HOF ballots?

Receptions: 743
Yards: 10205
TDs: 84

Superbowl wins: 1

There were at least a dozen receivers on his level (or superior) from his era, including Irving Fryar (851 Receptions, 12,750 Yards, 84 TDs). He can take a number and wait in line (forever).

Sanders and Faulk should be considered shoo-ins. The other 3 are well-deserving, but will have to battle it out with the other holdovers.

I had to fix that for you, you left out some things.
And you left out some things too. How many rings does Clark have?

Those are Swanns stats which are paltry in comparison to anybody listed. So what is your stat argument saying? Nothing.
Swann shouldnt be there. He's proof that the voters fuck up sometime. Dude was a kiss ass who benefited from being a media guy and politic's.

how many years did Irvin play compared to those guys???

and what kind of offense did Irvin play in compared to those guys???

u niggas stay losing
