I'm I the only one getting tired of all these slave shows, movies, mini series consistently dropping

I haven't watched the underground

But I'm cool on watching my ppl like that.

It's not for everybody.

I rather read about the absolute truth

None of that sugar coat shit

Having the Tuskegee airman movie saying some of those pilots died when they living. (A-train)

White directors, financiers, media owners, etc. decide what programming goes on television. To the winner goes the spoils.

If you don't like what's on TV, change it. That's the only real solution to all this. Give blk ppl another option instead of slave movies.

Real talk after seeing the hit YTube series money and violence, I think cats are realizing that if u want your story told, you gotta produce it yaself.

One thing I give props to Tariq for is execution of producing something for blk ppl to see other than slave narratives and love and hiphop.

If Tariq can do it, other blk folk can as well. @Drayonis made a comic series called the dog years which I personally believe would be a massive hit as a tv show/Web series amongst the black community, especially in 2016. We just need to support brothers when they create alternative stories.

Dr. Watkins broke this shit down last week.

Basically of you do have slave movies make sure WE DO THEM. The Jews ain't letting former Nazis tell their history. That's when history gets distorted.

This what I've been saying. They got us fooled. Like I said theyre taking the sting out slavery with these movies being constantly put in our face, and telling a part of the true story.

A lot of the old slave movies either minimized the brutality of slavery or portrayed Blacks as helpless children waiting for some empathetic White person to take on their cause...some of this newer stuff corrects that...I am all for it
