with music you will find that classical and jazz studio musicians have the greatest technique as do some trained background singers but what famous artist have is a style that sells , that is what sade adu has , style, many artist can sing better then others, but you sell when people are willing to pay for your piticular style. .

To be polyrythmic, at least two instruments must define melodies, in one
song, that are independent of each other. However, in order to retain melodic
harmony, there is a secret to this that must be abided......................

Manu Dibango had one of the biggest hit songs globally ever of any artist period, "Soul Makossa". Yes but these are not polyrythms. There are many rythmic structures
in African music, and the sequential structure described here is not
the polyrythmic structure I alluded to .... There is one essential
element that is necessary, in fact mandatory, in order for music to
be polyrythmic, and it has never existed in American music....lol...

I will now leave you to ponder the question. One of the styles of
