If the average Black man makes $45k per year that falls into the 12% tax bracket currently. That’s equals $5400 a year extra. The average person works 46 years before retiring. If your average ass never sees a penny in pay more through those 46 years that’s a total of $248,400.
Now, let’s say that’s the lump sum check that would be paid. There’s approximately 50mil Black people in America. Let’s say half those people are ADOS(I have no clue). Then $248,000 x 25,000,000 = 6,210,000,000,000 Trillion. You think Uncle Sam is about to shell out that in cash in one go?
Now, say they actually do that. Once that is paid where does that leave future generations? Just think about the come up people had with stimies and how quickly that money got fucked off. I'll have to agree to disagree. I think it's just shortsighted to take a check. There's no lasting impact. The effects of slavery and Jim Crow was not overnight. There's a lot of lasting fucked up effects that will take time to correct. Some would benefit if they utilize it correctly, but most imo would fuck it off pandemic style and be back in the same situation.
