He's not chasing Jordan. That's Kobe's chamber. I know this might shock yall, but LeBron really does NOT need Jordan or his affirmation. His game and his shoe sales do just fine without him. Jordan is irrelevant, a spectator. And now that he voiced who he prefers LeBron really dont need him. Jordan did him a favor in a way.

I'm still mad Jordan aint gave us a quote on this win streak. He's been very very quiet.

Man, this is bullshit.

Lebron ain't playing no one.

Kobe has been out of his athletic prime for years. Dude is running on Jordan obsession and fumes at this point. Even then, you can't even compare the two. Kobe - and I say this as a fan - approaches the game in such a asinine manner, there is no way he can be a legit rival to Lebron, if the truth be told. I PERSONALLY love Kobe's 'toss up anything and pray it go in' style, but Lebron plays the game to be as efficient as possible, and Kobe plays, it would seem to see how many tough shots he can make in his career.

What kind of rivalry is that?

Hell, Kobe hasn't had a truly GREAT NBA Finals, 'cause dude just don't know how to stop playing that style of ball, and the problem with that is, the perimeter defender on an NBA Championship contender squad is going to be quality, and so is the teams defense - so not only does he make the game harder playing the way he plays, but the opponent makes it even harder.

Durant? Ok. Durant. That's a real rival. Both seek to play the game efficiently, and undoubtedly as team players.

Kobe is like an experiment to recreate Michael Jordan gone bad.

Who else?

Melo is a great talent, but dude just ain't got it up top. I sense no passion from that dude.

Not to mention, Jordan played in an era of shot blockers. Lebron can attack the rim nowadays and not give a fuck. Whose really trying to go up and at Lebron?

People laugh at Pat Ewing for gettin' dunked on so much, but Pat couldn't get dunked on unless he had the stones to contest players coming into the paint.

Lebron is an all-time great talent, but the talent is weak as fuck nowadays. The best center in the game is a dude who has marginal offensive skills, in Dwight.

Jordan CHANGED the game!!!! NO ONE will ever compare to Jordan, he is the GOAT period! He made it a global attraction. They play different positions anyway. Compare Lebron to Magic that's who his game is most similar to. Magic played center in game 6 of the 1980's final and had 42 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds and handing out 7 assists. All around player like Lebron is becoming.

Why didnt we hear this last year or the year before that?

The talent is only weak because King makes them look weak.

And if its so weak, why isnt anyone else doing what LeBron is doing? There are no talented players in the NBA now?

You read what the fuck you want to read.

I said:

1. Lebron is an all-time great talent.

2. The talent is weak as fuck.

You can be an all-time great talent and play weak competition. Though this is blasphemy to some ...

...while Jordan played HOF'ers, he didn't battle the best of the NBA's all-time best in their prime for championships.

Stockton, Malone, Barkley, Kemp, Payton, Drexler?

Great players, but 2nd tier all-time greats.

Kareem was retired when the Bulls defeated them, AND they were on the downside. I mean, how many times did they go back to the Finals after that?

I'm not saying Jordan era was weak - it's stronger than any era since - but it wasn't the best championship era in NBA history.

As for Lebron ...

...again, the dude is obviously incredible, but there ain't enough talent in this era for it to stack up against eras of the past.

This is hardly the first time I've said any of this on this forum. Issue is, you dudes label me a Kobe Stan because I root for Kobe, without paying attention to what I'm actually saying.

Bron is a lil bit of Jordan, a lot of magic and mostly nothing we ever seen before...

its as simple as that

This argument is not a true test your theory. Todays NBA is way weaker than Jordan's era. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Today LeBron has:

Kobe
Rose
Dirk (lost to in finals)
Durrant
Wade (same team)
Melo
(And for respect sake) Keven Garnett

Below this tier you have your Paul pierce, Deron williams, Chris Paul's and and what - not but the league is weak. And those LeBron has to fare against are few and far between.

Jordan, getting TO HIS PRIME, faced:

Magic
Bird
Paris
Isaiah
Dumars
Ewing
Hakeem
David Robinson
Barkley
Clyde Drexler
Reggie Miller
Mitch Richmond
karl malone
Shawn kemp
Gary Payton
The lakers
The Pistons
The Knicks

THERE IS NO COMPARISON with regards to competition. Jordan played against other "legends" who went to college and had superb and refined games as pros. The league is weak. Joe Johnson is getting paid like Reggie Miller begged to get paid - and he is not 1/10 the marksman or warrior as reggie but makes more and is considered "elite" (at least by his pay check). GTFO. :hmm: LeBrons road to "domination" is not paved with Goliaths like back in the day. He is a freak of nature with his size and ability, but he strike NO FEAR in the heart of his competitors. Some can (and do) argue that LeBron should have developed his post game years ago to be beyond devastating now. He is the top of his class/generation, but he ain't Jordan in any category.

c/s This man has good sense.

one thing people also forget mike jordan retired the first time in his prime and sat out two full nba regular seasons.

Why is everyone keep debating with these same 4 or 5 Lebron fans that wake up and go to sleep thinking about him?
