Just got over this about a week or so ago. I feel like I got lucky, because between being vax'd and catching symptoms early, I feel like it could've been way worse.
The one positive thing now is that when I start to feel a little stuffy/offish I go ahead and start treating symptoms immediately. I used to just write it off as allergies and maybe get around to medicating and stuff when things got worse, but now I'm mad crazy pro-active. So I stayed hydrated, drank plenty of tea, and most importantly rested. I did not push myself for two whole weeks. Of everyone I knew that got sick, I'm the one who was the least ill , so I'm grateful for that, too. Because I really wasn't trying to be worried about checking out.
Didn't even rush back to work when I started to feel a little better, because they were acting like I'd need to stay isolated there in case I was still contagious. Well, damn, if I'm still contagious, why would I go back to work and risk that with my coworkers? I'll take another few days, thank you.
So best wishes and godspeed on full recoveries for everyone that happens/ed to get this thing. Just do what you can to stay safe, and take care of yourself if you do happen to get ill. That's all anybody can do.
