I had this joint stolen out of my bag when I went to the Dominican Republic. I distinctly remember putting it in the pocket of my checked bag. Gone when I got home :smh:

The latest in Casio's Gravity Defier series comes out at the end of June in Japan, and the rest of the world in August.

I'll be picking one up at japanese release. Solar, Multiband 6, tough movement, smart-access, New compass, sapphire A.R coated crystal- alarm with snooze(!) and honestly more features than I can list.

the looks are dope.

beyond that, I'm only buying if it's a sinn U-1 or Hamilton Pan-Europ- and even then, only at the right price. I have too many damn watches as it is.

What's the best way to turn a watch that is turning bronze back to silver? I believed the watch I have is not stanless steal, but steal plated.

Anyone familiar with the michael kors jetmaster watch?

Never heard of it but it looks good enough. How much is it?

Bumped this to tell a funny and sad story. I appreciate sites like this, because it has people from different backgrounds to put you up on game about things you don't get to discuss normally. I just got back from a quick 3 day cruise, and it was sad and funny seeing guys (black, white, etc.) buying watches for more than they were worth. You know how do they on those boats on the last night with their watch sales! Truth be told, that may have been me about 7 or 8 years ago. I saw a dude buy an Invicta Diver's watch, that was identical to mine, for 225.00. I paid 97.00 for that same watch 3 years ago. Later on, I found them for about 80 or so, but hey, live and learn. While I was watching these guys buy watches and walk away with their yellow Invicta bags, I thought to myself: "Don't think anyone from the board who participates or lurks in those watch threads would've done that." On the cool side, I did stop a brother from overpaying for a Sturhling. They're great watches (I own 2), but he can find better prices on Amazon.

I hip people on invicta all the time. Sadly a lot people feel they got excellent deals on invictas but are really being cheated. The other day I complimented a gentleman on his invicta ocean ghost, he replied back excitedly, it retails for $1500 but the jeweler at the airport sold it to him for $500.

I make a sigh sound and say, I hate to break it to you but he robbed you. You could find that watch online at Amazon or evine.com for Low as $70 plus tax but free shipping. Its a dirty game but that's how invicta and jewelers trick not so watch savvy people by inflating their made up retail prices and acting like they are cutting you a deal.

Personally I would never spend over $150 on a invicta watch.

This dude I know, who's a hardcore watch collector, told me to only buy them if you like them. Don't buy them expecting any ROI. He said that the only ones that hold any value are the Swiss made ones and a few of the Jason Taylor editions.

:lol: Damn he got robbed. I got one invicta off ebay for like $110. Get mad compliments on it. I just like the way it looks nothing exclusive about those watches.

Just put a red & black Tudor fastrider blackshield on a wish list at the jeweler a couple of weeks ago.

Still on the fence though. But I really like it.

Not sure how practical a watch with this much color in it is, and for the bread I'm like I should probably get something I would be able to wear more often, considering I'm not a blood lol

But I like this bitch though

Yeah, that's a very nice watch and there are regular looking everyday Tudors that you can buy. I saw some nice ones in the Bahamas in January.

I like all the fastriders, that particular one in black/black is hot too.

The Classics are really nice too. But they are at opposite ends of the style spectrum for sure.

I think young me wants the fastrider and the me that's been rocking all these ties and jackets lately wants the classic.

I want them both lol

Honestly, just save for a good pre-owned Brietling Navitimer. That watch just evokes all types of emotion in people and it's very versatile. I wear it with a nice suit and with just t shirt and jeans.

I just googled that shit thinking in my head "jagu gon bring back some results I ain't ready for" lol

No lie, it never even occurred to me that I could find a breitling for numbers like that. Very good advice, thank you sir.

What size is yours? (Pause)

Lol, I have the 41mm navitimer. I'll change it to a 46 if I can run into a good pre owned.
It's 10 years old and looks new.

How much are these two watches? Ballpark range?

I like 'em both, but for different reasons.
The Rolex because it's classic style, and it will hold it's value.
Gucci cuz I still got some street nigga in me
I know that the Rolex without the diamonds is $37k, but you can get it for $29k
The Gucci should be much cheaper because it's more of a costume jewelry, about $800.00.

ya'll are idiots and don't know shit about watches. Get the fuck outta here with some fossil bullshit. If your under budget (under a G) go with Hamilton, Oris, Seiko. Those brands should take of you in that price range.

By the way, if u have the dough Rolex is NOT the watch to get. There a lot better watches out there, ROlex's are glorified seikos with good marketing. Mass produced, no in-house movement, no special finishing, they don't offer anything but the name rolex.

I like Citizen, will never buy a rolex
