I usually dont interact with non-members, but almost all entry-level IT work is offshored. If you're not experienced in 2024, its hard to get your foot in the door cause youre competing with cheap labor from India, Romania, and Costa Rica.

Fam what certs do have if any? I'm a NOC manager but I have hired people with no networking background. But I can tell in the interview if they are capable of learning in a timely manner.
are you looking for a job or a specific job? There’s a difference.. I’m pretty sure jobs are available but being specific narrows down your options.. maybe you need to stop being specific first, get something to at least put some money in your pocket than work on getting a specific position

All I can tell you is keep your head up and try to stay positive.
As someone said in jest, with AI it's likely just going to get worse for regular people who went to school for a job that the industry is going cheap, either AI or outsourcing.

I've been suffering from depression since I was a kid, felt sorry for myself, have a stutter and people disrespected me a lot
worked shit jobs for decades and decided I can go back to school so I went at a older age
But reality is different than all the fantasy, I'm probably better off in a small town, more realistic and the people are more regular and less educated
Might be better for me mentally.

Keep ya head up family. Keep talking to folk, especially if they are good folk and don’t want anything from you. The best part about being in the valley is it shows you who your real friends are. Take note and hold those people close. I have a friend going thru a divorce and a job situation. We laughed about when we got kicked out of Nikki’s on Stewart ave for sitting next to the main stage and not tipping. Life can be grand if you pay attention.
I understand… I wrote my kid a letter last year and borrowed a line from Tommy Jakes to include in it. It was from an interview he gave, and it really resonated with me. I definitely don’t want them to waste their youth “25-40” the way I wasted mine… That 15 to 20-year window, when I should have been building assets and creating wealth, was wasted on creating liabilities. It’s time I’ll never get back.

Those agencies normally hire from within. The most reliable option is LinkedIn. I got my SA job with the Army through them. Your profile must be appeasing.
I live in Snellville. When I moved here 8 years ago it was tough sledding finding a full-time IT position. Most jobs in the area are mostly temp. Create a LinkedIn account. You will see mad jobs there. Feel free to lie to make your resume look good. But you must have a industry certification. Start with Security +.
A CDL will definitely open up some doors.
