I personally would of threw some SRT's on it or some Monoblock HRE's but those would of cost you a lot more.
The added weight of the rims is no where near significant enough to apply extra wear on the transmission, the real worries would be up-sprung mass(doesn't matter too much unless you race), overworking power steering & wearing out suspension components quicker(ie. control arm/balljoint bushings, etc). Those are some issue I have run into in the years of experience modding my cars.

I'm not gonna front like I know much about the power or capacity of a Charger with either engine. But the logic regarding the (in)practicability of 22s seems to revolve around the increased weight of the rims. So a question to those that know; what the weight difference between the stock rims to 22s? I'll overestimate at 25lbs per rim which is a total 100 lbs. So is he supposed to ride w/o passengers or risk ruining the transmission?
