How is Mayweather gonna retire before....

the logical next fight for Floyd is Sugar Shane Mosely ,Winky is too big,Margorito too unknown

Floyd and Sugar Shane would be another Superfight - Floyd isnt ready to retire ,he is only using that has a negotiating tool

Cotto is too 'young' to fight Mayweather or anybody with his experience. He's strong, and a good boxer, but he's doesnt have the experience to step up to that level of comp.

No. He ran from this guy.

Damn..based on that first video... Floyd seems like he doesn't want to put that undefeated record at risk. He wasn't saying that typical...I will whoop his ass..blah blah blah stuff MW talk... that was "scared talk".

Yes I'm serious. You do know there was an original eight weight classes? I wish they went back to that and have none of the junior/super shit and all of these sanctioning bodies. It's confusing to the casual fan.

[Second question] Yes, if you don't know something as subtle concerning lbs for a weight class. I could understand your argument if you were being asked for punch stats or the official scorecards of any particular fight. This is just stuff that is common knowledge . Knowledge any hardcore fan of boxing should/would know.

Boxing is littered with the corpses of unsuccessfully attempts to move up in weight. How many boxers have successfully been champions at Lightweight and became champions at Welter?

Off the top of my head out of 100+ years of champions:

Henry Armstrong (held three titles at once, really should have been four total - half of the original eight (featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight)
Roberto Duran
Pernell Whitaker
Oscar De La Hoya
Shane Mosley
Floyd Mayweather

man please I knew it was lightweight and welterweight, just got the lbs mixed up. You nitpicking right now.

DM funny how they dont put the part in there about WHY he turned the fight down. Floyd wanted to fight Shane who said he didnt want to fight. Then the Baldomir fight came into focus..He got atleast that 8 million(I think it was 10 according to what Floyd said on 24/7) to fight a CHAMPION...Exactly what does Mayweather gain by fighting an up and coming cat who hasnt beaten anybody? When you are the premier fighter you take fights that take you up...aka Champions or Big Names.. After the Baldomir fight they wanted to fight....Why would he fight him for 8 million when the De La Hoya purse after payperview revenue was counted ended up being at an estimated 15 million..

He didnt say he wouldnt fight dude but he's right, its not a business minded fight. And DM you a fight head supposedly, tell me who exactly has Margarito beat or what belt does he hold that warrants him a shot with Floyd?..Shit the best fighter he's fought (Joshua Clottey) fought with an injured hand for more than half the fight.

Nah they just didnt put the other side of it in there. Funny how Latin websites tend to do that alot. Cause to be honest the only people clamoring about that fight are well....latin.

Well..I only saw that first video. So, if they edited in a biased nature...I can see how it can be misleading....

Nah it wasnt in that video. But if anyone has the Floyd video after the Zab fight Floyd said he wanted shane. After Vargas Shane said he wouldnt fight floyd which caused him to fight De La Hoya, Margarito doesnt have any merit to be put above either of those fighters.

Does this guy know that Winky Wright is walking around at close to 185 pounds...I dont how the hell he thinks that a fight can be made between a PBF and Wright.

Margarito looked like crap against Clottey and could have easily lost. Who has he ever beaten btw?

Cotto will have to man up against Zab Judah.

Hatton ran the hell back down to 140.

I mean I know Floyd can be annoying at times but that guy is a clean fighter and professional in every sense of the word.

Man Sweet Pea made folks look straight stupid...Opponents would miss combos without even touching Whitaker...

On that youtube clip he made one cat just fall on a delayed reaction to a body shot (at the 3:40 to 3:37 mark). Whitaker threw two punches afterwards but they didn't even hit dude...

That's probably why some boxing analysts said that Pernell was the best of his era...

Pernell was a boss fighter and definetly a favorite fighter.

The socalled draw with Julio CeasarChavez and the so-called loss to Goldenfraud DLH make me mad to this day.

Wright is fighting his next bout at 170.

Wright also said he would come down to 154 for a chance to fight Mayweather. 154 is the same weight DLH just came in at.

E, Floyd only went up that high for a SUPER Fight. That was the biggest draw he could EVER get. He knew damn well that was too heavy, he couldnt even hurt Baldomir at 147. He only took the risk was because of the payday. I dont think he will do that again unless Sugar Ray Robinson comes back from the dead.

Well if it's not Shane or Margarito... who is his next fight IF he doesnt go for the big payday again and do a rematch with DLH (hoping they dont do that shit)?

I don't for a minute think this dude is gonna retire. He wanted the DLH fight not just for the big payday but for respect and he still has a lot of people, casuals and even people like Emanuel Steward, not quite giving him the respect he claims he demands in terms of being the greatest boxer of this era and being mentioned with Leonard and Robinson, etc.

I think he fights at least 2 more to attempt to prove the naysayers wrong....

Shane coulda had a payday if he accepted when he asked but like Leonard Ellerbe said Shane fuck his shit up when he took that low ass payday, once you lower your standards you lower your leverage. Margarito might be a possibility due to lack of people left, we'll have to see but in the end its about that paper, he may not be better but he's damn sure richer than Leonard and Robinson.

Word..didn't he do that fight for sub 1 million... like 600,000 or something :smh: :smh:
