In Just 1 Day, Disney’s $184M Sequel Is Officially the Most Watched Title on PVOD in America

It only took a day for Predator: Badlands to hunt the biggest prize in PVOD. Having just released on streaming on Jan. 6, Predator: Badlands is now the most streamed PVOD movie in the Apple TV Store, according to data from FlixPatrol.
In claiming the top spot on the Apple TV Store's chart, Predator: Badlands has dethroned Wicked: For Good, which also rocketed to the top of the charts upon its release on PVOD in late December. Wicked: For Good remains in the second place spot, followed by Nuremburg, and Now You See Me: Now You Don't.
Predator: Badlands' PVOD success comes after an impressive theatrical run by franchise standards. Predator: Badlands earned $184.4 million during its theatrical run, the biggest gross of any Predator movie, on a budget of $105 million. That total was built on the back of a franchise-best $40 million opening weekend.
Predator: Badlands also scored well with critics, earning an 86% "Certified Fresh" approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That's some distance from the franchise's best reviewed entries, Predator: Killer of Killers with 95% and Prey with 94%, but still a vast improvement over everything else that came before, including the cult-classic original Predator and its sequel, Predators...
