The things that kills Kobe argument is he had the easiest threepeat in the history of sports, out of the Nets, 76ers and the old Pacer teams none of them would have made it out out the 2nd round in the West this year.

Uh, you must not remember the Western Conference the Lakers had to go through. Nets, Sixers, and Pacers were nuthin. The Western Conference Finals were the NBA Finals for all intents and purpose for that 3-peat. Spurs were around then too. Lake Show just took them down most of the back then. Sacramento and Portland were no joke in the early 2000s. Ain't nuthin killin Kobe in this argument. Bron is great, but this 2014 Finals is O-V-E-R. No one is MJ, and Bron is not the competitor that Kobe is.

CON: Both Fail the Jordan standard. Especially Kobe.

CON: Kobe is a Chuck that misses most of his shots and has Never shot over 46% for a season.

PRO: Lebron shoots a high percentage now.

CON: Lebron takes what the Defense gives him 9 out of 10 of the times.

PRO: Kobe takes what he wants.

CON: Both have under performed in NBA Finals series.

CON: Both are Overrated. Especially Kobe.

CON: Both are overrated Defenders, with Kobe being severely overrated for Several years now while Lebron has only been overrated the last 2 seasons.

Kobe individually is less talented than at least 10 players all time and overall around top 13.

I had Lebron passing Bird for 5th All time after I assumed he would Win these NBA Finals, Now I'm not sure Why I ever put him over Shaq, Hakeem and/or maybe Duncan as an individual talent to begin with.

Lebron has passed Kobe for years now and I am a Kobe fan. I also call it how I see it.

I don't like the Ring argument. Its retarded. Shaq led Kobes teams to 3 of those Championships.

Both players led their teams to 2 Championships on talented teams, with Lebron being more impressive (efficient) while doing it.

What it all boils down to is efficiency, Lebron is more efficient than Kobe and has been since he came in the league.

If both retired today, Lebron would have a better legacy even with Lebron being 6 years younger.

What exactly does this mean? Lebron is now 13 to 6 against Kobe.

Kobe was way more serious on the court than LeBron. Kobe always treated the playoffs as do or die. Did he fail in the playoffs and Finals? Yes. But he was willing to kill himself to get the win. So was MJ. I don't get that from Bron. It's hard to compare MJ, Kobe & Bron. Bron has amazing skils. MJ & Kobe just seem to have a greater will to win than Bron.

Oh okay. Thanks for clearing that up.

I disagree with you on Lebron not having the will to win. I thought People still questioning his heart went into extinction after Game 6 in the ECF against Celtics in the Garden but I guess not :smh:

Lebron passed him a while back. Let me get this right, Kobe has played 18 seasons in the league and has 1 Season MVP, 2 Championship MVP's, and 2 scoring titles. All bias aside, someone please tell me what is great about this?

Next time you are having your barber shop argument, throw that out there. I shut down every time with these cold, hard facts.

Kobe should never be mentioned in the conversation as best ever or even close.

Clearly those dudes in your barbershop are either a) too young or b) don't know shit about the internet. If they were SMART (and clearly they aren't), they'd go back and look up when Kobe entered the NBA and then take a look at all the MVP winners to see who Kobe's competition....It seems you didn't either. Jordan was there. Duncan was there. Malone was there. Iverson. Garnett in his prime. All players in their prime...Your shut down just got shot down.

Do they kick you out of the shop when you say this stupid shit? Is Shaq considered great? What about Wilt?

Lebron, in the words of Skip Bayless, is a stat stuffer.

Lebron is about to lose another Championship run with the Big 3. The Heat lost by less points in the game Lebron didn't finished. The last 2 loses were by 19 and 21 points to an older Spurs team than last year.

Lebron's big 3 lost to Dirk, all by himself, Norwitzski. Now they are losing to old ass Tim Duncan.

Kawhi is matching Lebron's output this series.

Lebron hasn't surpassed Kobe in accomplishment in basketball. He is better than the older kobe right now that's it.
Lebron is a top shelf player with the support of top shelf propaganda.

I see the possibility of Lebron opting out of his contract to chase another ring with more top shelf players.

Thank fuckin' you!!! @ the clowns in this thread comparing old as injured Kobe to Lebron in his prime. :smh:

Prime Kobe >>>>>>>> Prime Bron

Also, Kobe hasn't made a mockery of the game with all the flopping and other antics. Lebron just started developing real bball skills, other than his patented fast break bulldozer move, the last couple of years...after how many years in the league?

These cats are the same ones that say the latest movie they watched was the best of year but can't name any others that came out throughout the year. Sigh...

Thank fuckin' you!!! @ the clowns in this thread comparing old as injured Kobe to Lebron in his prime. :smh:

:cool:bout time this has been said around here, those last two titles was not the peak but the tail end of his prime, there's a reason Kobe only has ONE MVP... rules kept changing to get one BECAUSE of the HATE: used to be the BEST PLAYER, PERIOD. It turned into: best player on the best team -->BULLSHIT:angry:
Even ShaQ only made out with one MVP with that fuckery

Kobe and McGrady couldn't be touched in their primes but their teams sucked: enter the Smoosh/Kwame Brown & CheapAss Dr.Buss era and Grant Hill/Yao Injury era

You hit it right on the head my friend..... Championships are team achievements, Mvps are individual accolades. 4 to 1 in favor of Lebron.

Really? :hmm:

Prime Kobe >>>>>>>> Prime Bron

Nonsense...That would give Steve Nash out of Phoenix the edge over Kobe because he has two. How do you folks even rationalize this shit?

Another STUPID comparison considering Kobe spent more than a few years playing with Shaq..remember THAT muthafucka?

Man, exactly! The only comp for rebounds Bron has had in his career is a slow footed Shaq. Kobe has played with multiple skilled big men yet he's supposed to have all of these front court stats? lol.

Nice try, Heathcliff. :hmm:

Yeah...sure, its a bullshit comparison because it don't fit your narrative. So are you admitting Kobe wasn't the best person on his team? :D You should have better stats when you have the ball in you hands??? First ya'll said Kobe's last two dont count cause he was old, then lately he been hurt. Now we he ain't had the ball in his hands the majority of the time....How many pleas are ya'll gone cop for Kobe?

 @ this nigga here. You had to wait until someone else said something before you could reply. Aren't you the one who said Kobe in his prime is better than Bron in his prime. Then at what prime ages are we comparing then tell me that?

If the Heat lose today ALL TALK about LeBron's greatness should stop until the day he retires and we actually see his entire resume. People can talk about his individual stats all day and night but the fact is he has struggled (in his prime) to win championships against his PEERS (Hall of Fame Players) who were NOT in their prime.

Too many game sevens wins and losses against the Hall of Fame Geritol crowd. which should tell you he would fall SHORT AS FUCK if he were to play them in THEIR prime. Considering how he struggled to overcome the Celtics do you think he would have succeeded if Pierce or Garnett was 25 or 26? You wouldn't need both, just ONE to be HIS age and his shit would have been fucked for ten years.

Last year was CLEARLY luck. Game was over, lucky bounce to the best three point shooter the NBA will ever have and they extend the series. There's going to be some hella-cheating tonight for the Heat to actually SAVE his marketability as the face of the NBA.

He's a hall of fame player but he ain't Mike...and he ain't Kobe. Hall of Fame team versus Hall of Fame team..no excuses.

Prime Kobe >>>>>>>> Prime Bron

Let's see the results for the alleged greater player -

2005 - Led team to last place in worst division in basketball
2006 - 1st round playoff exit
2007 - 1st round playoff exit
2008 - 6th seed and headed towards missing playoffs until Pau Gasol saved the day.

:smh: and people really expect themselves to be taken serious in any basketball related discussion comparing someone like that to LeBron.

I responded to your post before Nupe posted. My point is that front court stats and efficiency don't tell the tale. Its difficult to compare front court and back court players using overall stats. A more granular inspection where the two positions have common ground may offer insight but no one is going to post that.

You sound CRAZY AS FUCK...Kobe was playing with SHAQ in his prime. Do you remember THAT muthafucka? Admitting Kobe wasn't the best on his team? He played with SHAQ!!! If you honestly think you're making a point with that you've lost your fuckin' mind. :smh: Aa far as the other comment....If you're going to ignore the triangle and the most dominant big man to play since Wilt you're drowning man.......:smh:

I don't think he realizes that shit...It's like having a conversation about why Dennis Rodman averaged more rebounds than Jordan when he was with the Bulls. That's a conversation that SHOULDN'T even be had....it's common sense.

Okay so help us out then. Won't you post it. Since you're now discounting primes like you originally suggested.

lol. Damn, x, fall back.

The margin is so wide that it is laughable that people think LeBron hasn't surpassed Wobe. Can you imagine how far it will be when LeBron actually has 18 seasons under his belt for an accurate comparison?

The next step is for LeBron to cement himself in the top 5, which he probably has, and head for being the top player of all time.

I'm discounting primes. I stand by my statement. I'm discounting the stats you posted and your analysis of them.

Man I give man. some of you niggas is like talking to a brick wall
