{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

BROTHER,

I just wanted to thank you for being so kind with your time and indulging all my questions.

You were shed so much light on things. You were helpful beyond what you know.

I'm going to get real serious about my long range game.

I signed up for a long range shooting course this morning.

Thanks, again.
Glad to help! Remember to relax and have fun. The biggest problem with people shooting long range is that they tense up and anticipate the shot. Relax and breathe. If you don't have one, find an old school Mosin Nagant for a cheap training gun. Take the time to learn how to shoot it out past 400 with just iron sights in various positions especially standing unsupported.

BROTHER,

I don't have a Mosin. I been meaning to get one. I guess now is as good a time as any. What are Mosin running these days about $500 - $700?

Thanks, again for all the help and great suggestions.

C'mon D, you of all people know what's out there...

In that price range you have ATN several scopes. Pulsar Digisight, and a couple of scopes from Armasight. Almost all will reach out to 200+, but some may need an IR illuminator. Read and watch a lot of reviews before you buy any night vision. Most have a 12mo warranty and after that, you are on your own. Buy with a credit card and your card may offer a free extended warranty (https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/the...e-your-credit-cards-extended-warranty-policy/). Black Friday sales are coming up so do your homework and try to catch a sale. Amazon will take returns on most all products but there are some sights that specialize in NV:

STEN MkII(S) submachine gun
Source: Imperial War Museum

Designed by Reginald Shepherd and Harold Turpin, manufactured by by Enfield, hence the acronym STEN. ‘Special purpose’ variant designed for British SOE commandos.
9x19mm 32-round removable box magazine, open bolt, blowback, automatic fire, integral suppressor.
The MkII(S) was an upgrade to the regular STEN MkII gun used in the British empire during WW2, fitted with an innovative large integral suppressor which was filled with metal baffles capturing the gas released when firing the gun. This both deadened the sound of each round being shot and removed the sonic boom of fired bullets by reducing their velocity.
The design of the suppressor itself made it prone to overheating, which is why Special purpose STEN gun were issued with a canvas wrap to avoid burning the hand of its user.

Here seen alongside a STEN MkIII.

What do you guys use to clean your weapons?

I just purchased a CTK Precision P3 Ultimate Gun Vice... This thing is nice, and it works for ARs, Bolt Actions, and Shotguns.

Looks pretty solid. I have a Lyman Revolution, it's probably the best gun vise that I've ever used.
