Game of Thrones viewers are howling in protest over the shocking ending of the show’s second episode.
“My girlfriend swears she is done watching [Thrones] after what happened to___,” wrote one viewer on EW’s recap. “[They can] sleep with as many people as they want, but don’t kill ____. Or I’m done!” threatened another. “People on my Facebook wall are posting that they won’t watch anymore after what they did to___” wrote a third.

And the dead character was (spoiler below) …

A cute furry direwolf. Who spent the episode just sort of standing there. But still, it was really adorable looking, and didn’t do anything to deserve being dead, and what’s more, it was stabbed by the show’s main character, the good guy, Eddard Stark, who was forced to execute Lady to appease a tense situation which could have gone much worse for his daughters. (The actress who plays Sansa, Sophie Turner, adopted the dog who played Lady after the show wrapped).

Meanwhile those who’ve read the books are practically biting off their tongues to respond to the viewer outrage since Thrones, well, let’s just say this isn’t the most gentle story

This is why I hate animal lovers :smh:

That was his sister he was fucking, his twin sister at that!!!

yeah that is some nasty incest shit. what's really messed up is that you know it will come out that the little bitch ass prince isn't the king's son. he's gonna be the offspring of a brother and sister :puke:

Absolutely in love with this show. Every single character is interesting. But it is pretty obvious who's going to die and who's going to live for story purposes and character motivation purposes. I haven't read the books, but just by how these kinds of things USUALLY go you can already tell who's going to bite it.

The queen isn't gonna get hers. The evil eviil bitch on these shows never dies.

I hope they make the season finale 2 hours because they wont fit all the important stuff to set up the second season in an hour.

To tell you the truth the ending of "Game of Thrones" really where the real drama beginnings....imo

He sure the fuck is the offspring of the sister and the brother as well as the queen's other two kids as well. When these fucks start the crazy as killing, it will remind you of some Soprano type shit.

a little sub-text about last night's episode for those who haven't read the boks

Littlefinger told Ned and Sansa what was going on with Loras but it was kind of hard to hear. Basically Loras (Flower Knight) intentionally used a mare that was in heat when he jousted because he knew it would throw the Mountain's stallion off his game. Thats why the Mountain killed the horse and went after Loras.

Loras (Knight of Flowers) and Renly (The King's brother) were not openly gay in the books, but it was strongly hinted at that that was the case. But this is HBO you know they gonna throw in some gayness any chance they get. That scene does provide to insight into certain characters motivations for their actions later.

The book was written in first person POV for only 5 or 6 characters (Ned Stark, Jon Snow, Catelyn Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Arya, and Bran). So if it happened when those characters were not around then we didn't see it. It always had to be explained later. I actually like how HBO is handling it because now we can see some motivation for later actions (i.e. Theon Greyjoy in his conversations with the whore and Loras and Renly's convo).

As someone mentioned above the next episode is going to be that build up to serious drama and then all hell is going to break loose. Stay tuned!

^^^props. this show is getting better and better. Character development is being implemented very well.

hey.. 2 shows next week? you got a link to where they said that?

This last show was so on point it's not even funny. When Ned and the Blondie squared off i was almost jumping out of my bed!

I was like YESSSSSS GET'IM NED!!! I was convinced Ned was finna kill this dude! I wanted him to kill him so baaaaaaaaaaad! I hate that guy!

Best action of the whole series so far. The convo between the queen and Robert was DEFINITELy cool as hell. You got to see their relationship, that shit was just DOPE to me. And did anyone else notice when the Hound and the Mountain were fighting and the King said stop this madness! The hound dropped IMMEDIATELY! Gregor coulda killed him! Shit was off the CHAIN!!! I was like that was smooooooooooooove then a BITCH!

I haven't read the books, but i'm guessing the lannister is going to die somehow. Ned is going to die in order for Snow to COME UP. I feel like the Queen is going to have Ned killed or something, and it's going to cause the House Stark to declare war on the kingdom and Snow is gonna come down off the wall in righteous fury and anger.

Those dragon eggs are going to hatch.

The wanna be king guy is going to be killed.

And i don't think Snow is Ned's son. I'm thinking Snow is the King and Ned's sister's son...and Ned is keeping it a secret for some reason.((that's how i'd write it))

I think the imp is going to make it out alive. Somethings going to happen to put him in Mrs. Starks good graces i think.

But the brother Lannister dude...he's GOT to die. He just HAS too.

I like the fight with him and Ned and his facial expressions because it felt like he knew he couldn't just beat Ned toothsweet like that. I think he felt some doubt. And Ned started gettin some confidence. Ned was getting into battlemode.

That Lannister dude is going to be bothered now because he's gonna be like DAMN...Now i'll never know if i could've beaten him. He wants to be vindicated somehow. He's seen throughout the kingdom as a coward, a punk. And him beating Ned would've been a personal SUPER victory for him.

Yeap, especially when a certain even happens :smh:

^^^props. this show is getting better and better. Character development is being implemented very well.

The Walking Dead and the A Song of Ice and Fire series(Game of Thrones,A Clash of Kings,A Storm of Swords,A Feast for Crows,A Dance of Dragons,The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring) are the only two shows I would watch

I wonder how PETA felt about this episode.

I posted a link just last week with people saying they gonna stop watching the show because of them killing the Direwolf a few weeks ago.

These people are so stupid they dont realize direwolves dont exist no more and besides I dont think the director would allow someone to kill the wolves in real life...:smh::smh:

The convo between the queen and Robert was DEFINITELy cool as hell.-The thing about that is,its not even in the book but they did a good job with the dialogue and acting.

And did anyone else notice when the Hound and the Mountain were fighting and the King said stop this madness! The hound dropped IMMEDIATELY! Gregor coulda killed him! Shit was off the CHAIN!!!-Those two are brothers but Sandor Clegane(The Hound) hates his brother with a passion...Petyr talked about it last week about it with Sansa.

Not gonna say anything :D

And Jon Snow is Eddard's son.

i would advise reading the books...the show follows pretty closely though....

you wont be disappointed

c/s

This maybe my second favorite book series

You gotta read the books though, they left alot of important stuff out....Despite that this show is very well made and I cant wait for the second season to come.

Some right, some wrong and some in between ;)

hey.. 2 shows next week? you got a link to where they said that?

They advertised it last week right after the show that the next episode will follow this weeks episodes (you'll get to see the next week's episode this week) online at HBOGO.com.

I have Dish Network so I don't know if its only for certain cable companies, or maybe certain companies will have you go to HBOGO.com and others will have it on their on demand channels but the next episode will definitely show after this weeks new episode
