A lot of folks in this thread need to go watch those history and Lore videos Vol.1-4 on YouTube. It will help yall understand more. Either that or read books 1-4. It makes the show make much more sense. For example when little finger and Sansa were in the crypts of Winterfell in ep. 7. And he talks about her Aunt and the tournament. It makes a ton more sense if you know the damn story.

Dudes talking about mentioning Azor Ahai is a spoiler...how? That's in the history not in the present. Again go watch those history videos and everything you have ever seen on the show will make sense.

Man, thank you so much. I had no idea these existed. If anybody goes to watch them on YouTube, watch the Boss Owl versions. Trust me.

Finally watched the episode

Favorite of the season by far

I think Cersei licking water off a dirty ass floor is the most cheer worthy scene followed by Joffrey choking on the strangler and, going to season 1, Viscerus getting his "crown" from Khal Drago after talking all that shit.

 Cersei's skank-ass licking that water off the floor was at least two seasons overdue IMHO...Her character adds absolutely NOTHING to the storyline...Hell, even Jamie's character has been marginalized with so many developments accelerating in the North and elsewhere. I hope the writers just keep her ass locked up and out of sight until (A) she is executed by whoever claims the crown next or (B) Arya finds her and says "Valar morghulis, bitch!"

Cersei adds nothing to the storyline? :hmm:
You buggin' out son. :hmm:

Cersei is one of the GREATEST 'female villains' regular TV has ever seen in the past 30+ years...

She is prolly the 'most hated' woman on TV since Joan Collins played 'Alexis' on Dynasty, back in the early 80's

As far as what she adds to various 'storylines'.... It's undeniable.

Because Lord Tywin & Cersei have pretty much 'given the direct orders' for the vast majority of death, mayhem & backstabbing seen in Westeros.

Just to name a few events, for example....

- Tyrion got captured and taken to the Vale by Lady Stark. In response, Cersei sends the Kings Guard to kill the Dancing Master (Syrio Forel) and hold Arya hostage... but she escapes Cersei's wrath, leaves Kings Landing and later teams up with the Hound for epic adventures that lead Arya to the House of Black & White, in Braavos.
- the Viper fought the Mountain at Cersei's behest
- Littlefinger betrayed Ned Stark in season 1 because of her threats
- Khaleesi's whole 'rise to power' is to seek revenge on the Lannister family who have tried to kill her numerous times over the years
- Ned got his head chopped off by her illegitimate son
- Bran got crippled after catching her fucking her own brother, which led to him discovering his Warg powers
- Sansa endured 3 seasons of torment from her 'demon seed' offspring and barely escaped her wrath when he was poisoned
- She sends Jaime to Dorne to rescue their daughter, which almost gets Bronn killed
- Cersei blamed Tyrion for Joffrey's death and put him on trial... resulting in his death sentence... which eventually caused him to kill his own father
- Cersei using Lancel to kill King Robert in season 1
- Cersei was the one who started making wildfire to use against Stannis at Blackwater, before Tyrion took over the job
- She empowers the High Sparrow with a private army.... A plan which backfires... But not before it gets Queen Margery and her brother Loras Tyrell locked up.

Shhheeeeiiiitt....

All these plot-twists, major battles and 'side journeys' are the (direct or indirect) results of HER actions.

Without Cersei (and the entire Lannister family)... most of the Starks would still be alive.... and the show would just be....... one big (never-ending) quest to kill zombies... with nothing else happening. :smh::rolleyes:

Yeah, man. You trippin. Cersei is the lynchpin behind nearly all that went wrong, and the fact that she is so short sighted is the cause to her downfall. In a world of dominoes, she has knocked down twenty, all in different directions that is causing the chaos we are all watching.

How on Earth could you think Cersei adds nothing to the story??? She's one of the most interesting characters in Westeros.

So what do you guys think about the theory that Tyrion is not Tywin's son, but the son of the Mad King?

which would mean what?

he's the rightful heir to the throne?

I don't get caught up in the birth rights. I think whoever is strong enough to hold the Iron Throne is the rightful heir. I would love to see Tyrion and/or Khalessi hold it down though.

I think it makes sense and explains why Tywin left KL and was neutral during Roberts Rebellion.

The mad king raped his wife and he couldn't do anything about it.

Lastly it makes Tyrion a dragon rider. 3 dragons means 3 riders

Well if tyrion is the mad kings only surviving male heir, looks to me that he has the most legitimate claim to the throne.

snow white and the single dwarf can rule over the seven kingdoms as a brother/sister tandem.

Khalessi, Tyrion, and John Snow?

Yeah, but the 7 kingdoms were united by the blood shed and fear of the Targaryens, not by some noble means. So if anybody can bring the same blood shed and fear, why wouldn't they be the "rightful heirs." If you want to be technical, the only people who can claim legitimate birth right to Westeros are the Children of the Forest. Since they are no more, it's whoever can slang the most iron. Just my opinion.

Tywin had a lot of good reasons to turn on the mad king. First he turned down Tywin's offer of marrying Cersei to Prince Rhaegar, then he named Jamie to Kingsguard. Although Jamie probably loved it, Tywin hated it because Kingsguard server for life and can't marry, which ruined his chance to pass his legacy on to his preferred son.

Not to say that Tyrion still couldn't be the mad king's illegitimate son, but Tywin had plenty of other reasons to hate King Aerys

Do you remember the convo between Tyrion and Tywin where Tywin said something like "I have no way to prove you aren't my son?" It was right after Tywin became the Hand of the King again, and Tyrion was asking why he was replaced.

No doubt, bruv. Have you sat down with the History and Lore vids yet?

One new thing I learned from watching those Lore vids, is that the whole reason the faith militant originally turned against the Targaryens in the first place was because one of the early Targ Kings tried to Marry both his sisters.

So not only was Cersei just exercising bad judgement by allowing the faith the re-arm, but she was ignoring well known history as well.
