Cersei adds nothing to the storyline?

You buggin' out son.
Cersei is one of the GREATEST 'female villains' regular TV has ever seen in the past 30+ years...
She is prolly the 'most hated' woman on TV since Joan Collins played 'Alexis' on Dynasty, back in the early 80's
As far as what she adds to various 'storylines'.... It's undeniable.
Because Lord Tywin & Cersei have pretty much 'given the direct orders' for the vast majority of death, mayhem & backstabbing seen in Westeros.
Just to name a few events, for example....
- Tyrion got captured and taken to the Vale by Lady Stark. In response, Cersei sends the Kings Guard to kill the Dancing Master (Syrio Forel) and hold Arya hostage... but she escapes Cersei's wrath, leaves Kings Landing and later teams up with the Hound for epic adventures that lead Arya to the House of Black & White, in Braavos.
- the Viper fought the Mountain at Cersei's behest
- Littlefinger betrayed Ned Stark in season 1 because of her threats
- Khaleesi's whole 'rise to power' is to seek revenge on the Lannister family who have tried to kill her numerous times over the years
- Ned got his head chopped off by her illegitimate son
- Bran got crippled after catching her fucking her own brother, which led to him discovering his Warg powers
- Sansa endured 3 seasons of torment from her 'demon seed' offspring and barely escaped her wrath when he was poisoned
- She sends Jaime to Dorne to rescue their daughter, which almost gets Bronn killed
- Cersei blamed Tyrion for Joffrey's death and put him on trial... resulting in his death sentence... which eventually caused him to kill his own father
- Cersei using Lancel to kill King Robert in season 1
- Cersei was the one who started making wildfire to use against Stannis at Blackwater, before Tyrion took over the job
- She empowers the High Sparrow with a private army.... A plan which backfires... But not before it gets Queen Margery and her brother Loras Tyrell locked up.
Shhheeeeiiiitt....
All these plot-twists, major battles and 'side journeys' are the (direct or indirect) results of HER actions.
Without Cersei (and the entire Lannister family)... most of the Starks would still be alive.

... and the show would just be....... one big (never-ending) quest to kill zombies... with nothing else happening.
