Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Comic book girl's take on that scene, starts at 5:42.

I expected that.

Typical reaction from someone who read the book, and feels like they 'know it all'... but gets thrown a 'curveball'... and becomes upset because the show isn't going exactly the way they thought it would.

I thought that scene made total sense.

From what we have seen already... it seems Ramsey likes 'the hunt' just as much as 'the kill'.

So he just gave them a 'head start'.

Most likely because he wanted to catch them right on the beach so he could revel in ruining their VERY LAST hopes of escape. (i.e. "So close. But yet so far.")

But they got away instead.
They were a little faster than he anticipated.

No big deal.

That scene is easily explained, or interpreted if she is NOT caught up in the storyline of the books. :smh:

I think that if they watched it from the beginning they would be hooked. A good friend of mine started watching the show this year based on a recommendation from his job. He was hooked after episode 1 and he watched the first three seasons in about two weeks time and is now caught up.
my boy antwan put me on to this show. he called me one day 2 years ago and said you have got to watch this show. It has everything but you've got to watch this show. Now, this is the same guy that told me about the wire in 2010. I had never seen the wire and had only lightly heard about it because by that time it was over already. He told me to go home and download it and, you know the wire was the shit. this dude knows what he's talking about with good TV
I thought it was lazy writing. Did Ramsey who is sadistic let them leave? Or did they kill the dogs and run? Either way makes no sense either Ramsey should be dead or they should be flayed. Men with weapons have killed every animal ever encountered...those war dogs had no shot vs a blade and 10 CACs in full blood lust mode.

you know what that scene where they go to try and rescue Theon reminded me of the fact that some people have to have somebody dying on every episode. There has to be some fight scene or the whole episode was boring to them. According to the people who have read the books, I have only read up through book 2, that scene was in the book and it was so poorly written that it was unnecessary.

I cannot see Ramsey letting those people go under any circumstances with his sadistic ass, and if the entire thing was something too prep Theon Greyjoy 4 being a Trojan horse within his own family then it was really ill placed and horribly written and horribly directed.

the last 10 minutes of the show is some of the best 10 minutes of TV I have ever seen. As crooked as that court was it reminded me of a quart when a black person is the defendant. People lie, twist stories until the defendant starts to wonder whether he did or not.

yo dudes ain't nothing but comedian. Damn this had me in tears

ya man I read the comments before watching the ep like here these niggas go...they probably amping the shit up watch it be just ok...but dude did the damn thing...this is why I don't shy away from spoilers and shit...nothing prepared me for that performance...about to watch that part again

Man after that speech:

tell me about it. That dude is holding it down as the only American on this show. Damn. He is one hell of an actor. I can't imagine anybody else playing him that well. He's got another me coming for sure, and not those weak ass ones they were passing out when the Sopranos were getting them all. Motherfucking Cox from Scrubs could have won one, come on. instead, they were giving all of the Emmys to The Sopranos even when they weren't any good

i finally caught up....now i can contribute....

i watched all episodes in 10 days...

I'm caught up on the series and the books. Unfortunately, everything else is boring as shit now. I used to love reading Jeffrey Archer, Ken Follett and Tom Clancy. Used to love Person of Interest and The Good Wife for fun. But, you know that all those writers are going to have the good guys win. Boring.

Yeah u summed that up perfectly.

IMO it's like Ramsay has a plan also and has had a plan for Theon in mind for some time now. This Trojan Horse plan must be something he's planned for some time now and I'm guessing it's since his father came back and told him that he needed Theon WHOLE not damaged like this. More then anything Ramsay wants his father's approval and by getting that stronghold back from the iron born so they can rule the north he thinks that'll solidify his father's love and approval. That's where the loyalty test (having Theon shave him in from of his father) came in because it proved Theon will do ANYTHING for him.

I think his sister coming to save him was unplanned and therefore would have ruined his plan if he had killed her and the rest of the iron born that came to get Theon. So he let them make it. To them Theon was a Stark but the sister was iron born thru n thru. They kill here and it's a MAJOR shit storm coming their way because they wouldn't take that lightly. That messes up Ramsay's plan and possibly gets them all killed in the process.

Plus, didn't before this episode Ramsay tell Theon he had a big, special job for him? I swear he said it to him before the bathtub scene..... It should make sense to everyone except nerd book readers and they have their own thread to discuss this so FUCK THEM RUNNING!!!

Nobody is stupid and we all know if he wanted to he could have captured them all and be flaying them right now. There's something bigger coming for Theon and Ramsay couldn't risk that or the North or his father's approval behind killing one person.

Curious, do you guys thing Ramsay's plan will work? IMO his sister seeing Theon that way will arouse suspicion.

I think it will work simply because its a good storyline to see Theon's father get his comeuppance after all the foul shit he's done to Theon which essentially put him where he is now.

The tragedy of his sister also dying because of it even though she's the only one who cares about him will make a great story.

Yeah man that shit is hard.

I looked up some basic shit a couple of weeks ago and ran right into a spoiler.

I think he decided to let them leave because he realized he could implement the plan with Theon going in and infiltrating his own family.

He may have already been planning it but their attempt to save him and his refusal to leave may have been confirmation that it would work so he let them leave.

Who is Tyrion gonna get to fight for him this time??

I haven't read the books so this isn't a spoiler but if you remember a fight scene in this season's preview trailer and look at the title of the next episode after tonight's airs the answer is obvious.

I think they'll reveal it tonight anyway.

.......wish she would`ve let me take a pic of her face... she is from venezuela bad as shit...

From what I've been seeing and reading everyone seems to think Tywin knew Jaimie would volunteer to leave the Kings Guard to save Tyrion but I don't necessarily think it's the case.

I think Tywin was never going to let Tyrion be executed and sending him to the wall was always the plan. As much as he loathes Tyrion I don't think he'd kill him or allow him to be killed since he's still his son.

Sending him to the wall is the perfect solution for Tywin.

Jamie volunteering just made it even better so he used it to his advantage but I don't think he foresaw Jamie volunteering to leave the Kings Guard and return to Casterly Rock.

Its also interesting that this is the first time Tywin has acknowledged the fact that he's aware that Jamie is the father of Cercei's children when he says "you'll father children named Lannister".

I suspected he's always known but this is the first time he's actually spoke about it.
