Game Of Thrones season 2: The night is dark and full of terror................

Maybe someone can explain this to me. In the beginning of the show Dany is walking through the desert with just a small band of Dothraki. I think they only had like 4 horses and about 20-30 people. What happened to the rest of the Dothraki hoard? Did they splinter from the group after Drago died? Did they all die from exposure in the desert? Did they just refuse to follow a women and decided to go their own way? The Dothraki horde was a great, fearsome army...what the hell happened to them?

a khal who cannot ride is no khal; they split when drogo was a vegetable.

When Joffery said that, Cersei gave that look like....WTF have I created.

No one is safe as long as Joffery is on the throne. Joffery don't even give a shit about getting Jaime back. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Joffery goes after Tyrion for slapping him way back at Winterfell. :beatyourass:
You're right! She finally stared into the eyes of the beast she made! You can tell she has been raising and grooming Joffrey to be like this since he was little. Nobody is born a cruel asshole like he is, that is a learned trait. Cersei probably thought that even if he were to ever become King that she would still be in control over him. Doesn't look like it now!

As far as right now it still looks like Joffrey respects Tyrion. The way he straightened up when he showed up. But I'm sure he got those slaps from back at Winterfell stored in his mental Rolodex!

yeah, he knows that Tyrion is not to be messed with. Funny thing is, Joffrey doesnt even know that Tyrion is his Hand yet.

what i love about this story is that there aren't any sacred lambs here...people who you don't expect to get got will get got when you least expect it...kinda like the wire:yes:

What's everyone thoughts on the Little finger and Cersei scene...

Little finger step over his boundaries this episode

That's right! He doesn't know yet!

she showed him who's boss. but he is a sneaky character.
:lol:He was about to get fucked up! I think he let her know that he knew too much. He could have hinted at a few things, he was pretty much telling he knew every thing! But yes, he is sneaky.

Yeah I thought that was a dumb move on his part especially that he knows the lannister a like to clean house of all problems, I'm guessing he must angry at the whole Ned Stark thing.

The strongest of Drogo's bloodriders (bodyguards) split the horde up and went their separate ways. All Dany has left is her own blood riders and personal attendants.

It's implied in the books that at least one of Drogo's bloodriders comes back into the story later on.

I bet Sansa wish she never went against her family now....

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I would not underestimate Sansa, yeah she should have been careful about what she wished for, but that said, she played Joffre like a fiddle at the beginning. Persuaded to him have mercy on the fat knight, I think she will learn more and more how to manipulate "the king" and if so she will actually have the power of a king and could quite possibly use that power to benefit the Starks.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

yeah, that was an interesting. That was scene was definitely not in the books.

Cersei was taunting him about rising above his station, and Littlefinger played his hole card a bit too strongly (and early).

I think the director's intent is to show that Cersei (and Joffrey) are UNFIT to rule even when they have support based on their rash behavior

Off topic: I am just now watching Deadwood on HBOgo and this shit is DOOOOPE AS FUCK. I just can't imagine watching 3 seasons of Game of Thrones in the span of a couple weeks. That would be sick! (in a good way)

The midget nigga is a pimp. He stays fucking bitches and says all the right things to the them.

Que the Wee Bay from The Wire gif! So the boy with the bull helmet is Roberts son and he just so happens to be with the younger Starks girl? Am I gettin this right?

Yeah, you got it right, bruh. I know someone answered you already. I stayed up til 3AM watching the download then got up and called off work because I was too damned tired.

Just as someone said, they were killing all of Robert's bastard kids so they would have no right to the throne, but my question is who told them? Was it Little Finger aka Carcetti from The Wire? DId he punk out when he almost got got and spill the beans on all the whereabouts of the bastards. Plus, who sent the blacksmith bastard away for his safety? They never said who sent him away, but if they hadn't he would have been killed.

Also, I love Arya. If she was a boy she would be a beast on this show because she doesn't take shit and she is tough. She stands up for herself even in the face of insurmountable odds. Man, that scene with the "Dance teacher" at the end of last season...when he merked all of those folks even though he had a wooden sword-if he had a real sword he would have killed them all! That went hard as hell!!!

I fucking love this show, man. I'm looking for the audiobooks if not the books themselves.

They weren't killing off Robert's bastards to ensure they'd have no right to the throne....they'd have no right regardless. They were killing them off in a vain effort to keep the notion that Joffery and them are Robert's kids alive. The Lannisters (Cersei) ordered it, I believe.

The blacksmith bastard was sent away by his master who they held over the burning coals. The boy said at the end of last season (when he linked up with Arya) that his master "grew tired of him" and that's why he was being sent up to the Wall.

I might be mistaken but I was under the impression that Eddard Stark arranged for Robert's bastard to be sent away as his life was in jeapordy at King's Landing. He knew that if he was able to locate the boy as Hand that many others would be able to do the same.

What are your questions

While i was writing the shit i checked out hbo and was looking at the cast info. I wanted to know who the dude was with the reef on his head in the preview and who Rob right hand man father was.

Robert had MANY bastards. The Lannister's and everyone else knew this. Why would Ned try to save just one of them?

Here is a great wiki to reference for GoT: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Main_Page

I never heard of the series until HBO ran the series and then became consumed by it. After watching Season 1, I downloaded (thank BGOL) the books. I'm just starting the latest book, A Dance With Dragons.

If you have a HBO GO, you can watch last nite's episode interactively. They had quotes, images, maps, video, etc that give insight into respective scenes that help the viewer.

Gendry looked exactly like a young King Baratheon...... he was (I think) the oldest of Robert's bastard children. The one that Ned could point to when making public the incestuous relationship between Cersei & Jaime and the illegitimate kids they produced.

While i was writing the shit i checked out hbo and was looking at the cast info. I wanted to know who the dude was with the reef on his head in the preview and who Rob right hand man father was.

Rob's right hand man is Theon Greyjoy... his father is Balon Greyjoy, King of the Iron Islands.

Ned was continuing the investigation Jon Arryn (the former Hand) started. Robert had plenty of bastards and Gendry happened to be one that was easily found because he was working in King's Landing as a smith's apprentice, so Ned could go meet him easily as he was one of the last people Jon Arryn met before he died. It was also rumored that one of the whores had Robert's kid. That explains last nite's scene.

Whether true or not, Joffery was having any Baratheon bastards slain.

Gendry and Arya were with Yoren who was in King's Landing, recruiting for members of the Night's Watch.

Him looking like Robert wouldn't prove a thing....everybody already knew that was Robert's bastard. The proof was in the fact that all of Robert's bastards, regardless of what their mothers looked like, were black of hair...they all looked like Baratheons (that's why John Arryn's last words were "the seed is strong"). That's compared to all three of his "kids" with Cersei looking like Lannisters...saving one of Robert's bastards would be pointless.

His master saved him cuz he just saw two hands of the king (John Arryn and Ned Stark) die...it was only a matter of time before they came looking for the boy.

That was NOT the only bastard found. Before his death, Jon Arryn went and found all of Robert's bastards...they weren't hidden. Gendry just happened to be the last one he visted before he was poisoned. Ned saw more than just Gendry as well.

You could be right.... for some reason I was thinking that it was implied that Eddard told one of his bannermen to see to it that Gendry was taken out of King's Landing. Not sure where I got that from.

but :roflmao3: at dude that marries his daughters and has more daughters and bragging about it to the watch commander

"he marries his daughters what does he do with his sons?"

lmao@ hitting him with the game of thrones "you mad bro?"

upset that i have all these young wives and you don't have anyone to keep your bed warm?

we chose different paths.....

yea you chose the one with BOYS

I laugh my ass off then felt funny for laughing :lol:

Dude with the reef on his head is Ridley baratheon (younger brother of Robert and stannis). As for the second part of your question it is worded strangely and I do not understand it.

Yeah not sure wtf i was thinking writing that but sharkbait answered it for me. So now it looks like the Baratheons are gonna team up and fuck Joeffry up. Was they ever introduced in the first season i don't remember them for shit.

Investigating Jon Arryn's death, Ned happened to discover Gendry, Robert's bastard and start to put 2 and 2 together.

Ned also finds out about the whore in the brothel who has another one of Robert's bastard, thanks to Littlefinger.

But no way Jon Arryn found all of Robert's bastards. He knew some of them. Only one bastard was acknowledged, the rest were "hidden" so to speak.

But we should skip this convo and not spoil shit.
