been workn alot, my computer stays on, so it probably always shows me logged on to bgol and a shyt load of other sites.
Been so busy I haven't checked for any new apps, sometimes I'll also give market and some android apps sites a break for a couple of week and hopefully when I return they'll have several new apps!

I haven't really got any new apps this week, , but once again I recommend sim checker (the last time i flashed, it sent me an email with the exact location I was at. Vault keeps my text messages, contacts and much more protected from crazy girls who like to snoop through a ngz phone. In the link above they have beautiful widgets! If u have a rooted phone beautiful widgets is a must, since u can have up to 10 home screens. I'm using 5 home screens.

I been looking for this one! I love mybackup pro since I flash roms alot but this is my shyt because it automatically sends sms, mms, call log, etc... straight to my gmail account! gotta luv it. A year ago I never thought gmail would've been my main email, but with all the features, my phone, google experience it is! This is my shyt right here! i've talked about it on a couple of other post. atakephone, but there is one frustrating problem i'm having with it----maybe it's the version i'm using, i'm gonna dl another copy or reinstall. The problem i'm having isn't a big problem for many, but i'm usually always on the go and need to do things promptly. When i press on atakephone it seems to take about 6 or 7 seconds to open as compared to 1 second when i press dialer. if anybody else has it let me know if yours is fast. This is a different version from the 1 I dl so it may be faster, i'll try it later. I like this program because to me the dialer and call log looks much better than the stock and any theme dialer.

Zei.. I tried that and it still didt work. I went to the thread you grabbed that info from and appearantly the Donut update did something that killed the install process. They are waiting for the dude to drop another crack. Im gonna be patient on it. That damn app is $35.

hmmm, I would think---but I could be wrong, but i'd think, long as u haven't updated to the latest release u still should be able to 1-click, naturally i know that doesn't help alot of people now, because they've installed tmobile/android's latest update. They could always try going back to 1.5.
From reading through different paid apps post it seems like non-rooted users have a lot of problems installing some of the more popular apps.I do know there are some apps for rooted users only, but for Copilot, I don't know y it's not installing for u. I'd search for an older version and see if that works. Like Zei, the first time I ran it, shyt worked. I've installed it like 3 times, just installed it on this chicks phone.
For anybody who's ran Cyanogen 4.1.11.1 but who's now running 1.6, wtf could 1.6 possibly have that Cyanogen 4.1.11.1 doesn't? I mean i'm all ears, I know it can't be faster, i'm just curious to what programs or what's been added. BTW is the new market in 1.6?

dont know if its already been posted but, Sherpa is a free app in Market, it's dope. It takes your location and smoothly list a bunch of shyt in your area. u click on banks and it lets u know which banks r in your current locations areas, u click restaurants and it tells u which restaurants r in that area, u can even double press a restaurant and get city reviews for it. smooth app.

I think Cyan's 1.6 was he initial dev's release when he added it to his and the other over the air update was the google standard.

1. My boy tried the new moto ROM and HATED it. Its more eye candy than anything he says so im not gonna bother till tey work out the kinks and other bugs. But then again the Overclock widget may be a big helper with this as well

I don't get it.....I tried rooting my Mytouch this morning using the videos/instructions in this thread and it won't go through. It appears that I can't revert to cupcake (currently running Donut I assume. Is there an alternate way to currently root this device? I really want to maximize/customize this device. Thanks all!!

This is the link/tutorial I used. To be honest and not being funny.. if you cant get it from that tutorial, you probably shouldnt worry about doing it. I used to more complicated method, definitely worth the time. All you have to do is read, look @ the example pics and make sure you are seeing similiar and follow instructions.

Yeh man, this was my first time. SO EASY. I posted the link to the tutorial I used in my post before this one. I went with the TMO DRC83 Exp Pack 2.0.1, seemed like the easiest one and closest to the default OS. I LOVE the difference in performance, noticeable faster and I have more apps installed now that what I did before.. so the performance is definitely noticably better.
I cant speak on stability too much YET. I havent had it 24 hours yet but I will say that I have been adding and deleting apps like crazy testing things out and I have yet to have a force close (except that damn copilot.. still cant get it to work). Everything is running extremely smooth.
Well I went through my menu and saw everything the same as the over the air update.. during the update they added VPN features (not sure what thats about), speech synthesis and reformatted the market.. all of which I currently still have. This ROM is based off of Tmobile Donut so thats probably why. I REALLY want to run Maximas Hero, if it can truly make my phone setup look like the pic below. I like the black info bar, but I think thats only with Dream or MyTouch (not sure). I wish that was changeable though.
Zei.. not sure about the Wifi tether, have to look into that. Would that be what allows my laptop to use my phone as an internet connection? If so I have heard of people getting crazy bills when getting caught doing that. Lemme know.

try clearing the cache. settings -> applications -> manage apps -> email -> clear cache.....
Everything up to the cashe clear was correct .... The Cashe was clear mo Data to clear ... but the storage had some information in it ... I cleared it and it then went to the email icon in the menu ... after I clicked it I was started from the beginning of the set-up email process ... and I am now able to check my email again ... Excellent Job ... Thanks

@ you still d/l apps. You gonna need a app called "Advanced task manager" and "overclock widget" to really maximiaze your phone. The task manager as a auto kill feature that kills off unwanted app or services running in the background every hour or 2. Depends on how u set it up. And the overclock app is basicall what it sounds like. Ya phone can either be a high speed performance device or a battery saver deoending on what you need. Your not the only person who apparently has this problem, once they upgraded to donut it was a wrap. What procedure did you use specifically? Do you have the right 32B radio ans SPL's working? What Rom are you using? And Next time you should in stall cyanogen recovery for the nandriod 2.2 backup feature. Restores your phone to the last save state you had just in case u monk something up...What im thinking you should do is start fresh and just wipe your MT3G.

Zei.. I got the overclock widget BUT Im not familiar with overclocking. From what I know about overclocking PCs, the wrong decision can be costly. I was hoping it would be automated. Do you have any suggestions on how I should have it set?
Just want to run this by you guys...Lately I have been getting no real life on my batery charge. I take it off charger and within 3 hrs its saying to charge it up and I had barely used it for talking. I used to get a full day out of the charge with a combination of talking and internet use.

Its the same basic Principal with the G1, If your using the same overclock widget that I am...if you gonna be running a lot of apps id set it between the Min to 245 and the Max to 384. If your gonna run a SNES and GEN emulator or just want your G1 to run like Usain Bolt on crack then set it to 584. BUT on the flips side it does conserve battery life on a EPIC scale. I work graveyards for 10 hours nowhere a charger and i set the min and max to 128...battery lasts me ALL night long.
If it hasnt done that before then I would say its the update draining your battery. The App "Powersave Manager" is pretty decent or turn off most of the settings that your not using I.E. turn down a bright screen,use 2G instead of 3G, Turn off auto sync when not using it, Wifi, GPS...those sorts of things make a big defference in battery life. And if that dont help...anew battery is needed

Powersaver manager is another app I had a problem installing.. wouldnt install for nothing. Its like its hit or miss.. other's were in the thread saying the same thing. Maybe its the ROM Im running, idk.
