she's been periodically complaining about not receiving flowers... im the last person to send her flowers to the job... home ...ect ect.... i know she likes flowers a lot.. i also know that she might like the strawberries even more...... ( my limit is $30 + shipping..... & i was thinking of sending it to the job) i had to tell her why i was needing her address....( we got into an argument in the process of getting the info... so to piss her off i told her WHY i was asking for the info...... and while she told me not to i still told her why....:lol::lol::lol: fuk it i was man & wanted her to feel shitty for messing up her surprise &^ it worked... so... i think the strawberries would be a great surprise & alternative... but would like a woman's input........ fuck all you dry dick ... no pussy getting suckazzz in advace....
 
Neither. Something my husband did for me once, he got me my own rose box. You get some wood, dirt, plant some roses in the soil and hang the box somewhere she'd notice with a note.

It's much more personal and it's something you yourself have divested love and energy into doing. You doing it, concentrating your thoughts on it will convey your energy into it. And it will make the roses grow even better, faster, more beautiful. Healthy.

You can do the strawberries yourself. All it takes is some chocolate or white chocolate morsels, 1 tbsp of shortening, and a microwave. I make them all the time

Don't understand how valuble it is to craft something for your lady. To make it of your own hands. Take a LITTLE time and effort. She suggested doing the strawberries himself. By hand. I suggested doing the rose planter himself by hand.

He ain't tryin to hear me though....maybe he'll do something else. I kinda like the strawberries idea. In one hand...anything done by your own 2 hands...is gonna be dope.

On the other hand...strawberries and covered chocs and stuff is kinda........meh.....been there done that. I say do something different. Shock her! Make her so ZOMG POTATOES!!!

Potatoes? Nothing special there they can be prepped in minutes plus they are gone and forgotten within a day. Same even applies for the chocolates and flowers. Even preparing a full dinner doesn't leave a lasting memory. You might remember the event but in time it means little. These are things that bring immediate satisfaction but they don't produce lasting memories.

If I want to keep a woman? I give things that keep her mind stimulated with thoughts of me. Things that stimulate the palate are quickly forgotten.

I like to give gifts that last like perfumes or jewelry. Gifts of this nature remain in a woman's presence for years. She sees the perfume on her dresser, dabs or sprays a little on herself she remembers. She picks up the jewelry puts it on, looks at herself in the mirror she remembers, might even imagine me there holding her, either way she remembers. :yes:

So as Onyx suggested 2 gifts, maybe one of the two above and something that's a keepsake.

My thought process exactly.
I'm really into gifts that mean something or she really wants/needs. For our anniversary, I made a scrapbook of pictures of meaninful places in our lives (our first apartment, the spot where we first had sex, the first hotel we used to go to before wee moved in together) and tickets to all concerts, shows, wrestling events, basketball games, and movies we've ever been to (that I could find the stubbs for). I even bought "Fresh" on dvd because it was the first movie we went. It was something she swore she was going to do for the entire 15+ years we've been together.

1. Wasn't trying to get you besides I know a little something about Zomg. IMO they are no big deal but they are fattening as hell. :hmm:

2. A flower box might last longer but its not a personal gift and is about as romantic as a dead mouse. Even if a woman asked for a flower box I would still get her something else. Something that's personal, something that would be hers and only hers.

And a flower box hand crafted by the man who loves me? Pfffft romantic as HELL. Eh, maybe i just like people who build stuff for me. That's more personal than buying me perfume. I feel like...u can get that stuff anywhere. Anyday. There's no thought really. No effort. It doesn't have to be a flowerbox. Just something you do that requires thought, effort. Energy.

We were in Arkansas for a video shoot a few years ago and there was this smooth black granite rock i thought was sooooooooo cool looking. I kept talking about that rock. It took 2 men to carry it, it was a big ole rock. Months pass and when my birthday came, i got up and went into the kitchen and right there on the counter was that big ass damn rock. But it was etched in it a little haiku written by my husband. Carved into it by his own hands. Just for me.

He went all the way up to arkansas, he REMEMBERED enough to go and get me THAT rock. Not a rock that was similar to it. Not a rock that...kinda looks like it. Nope. It was THAT granite. Him and he convinced a buddy to drive up there and get it, and he carved in it.

That's effort. That's romantic to me. People are like oh it's a rock. But that it's a rock isn't what's important. Roses are dying organic vegetation. But the effort that he put into, the thoughtfulness. Is what's important.
