Should she have been fired for this?

MFs have a serious sense of entitlement. To some of y'all it's harmless dancing. To a corporation, it's compromising their brand. Harsh would be firing her if she did this outside of work. Wearing the uniform while twerking on a company plane is a completely different story.

Should she have done it, no.

Firing her for it is ridiculous though. They could have just put her on probation for a few months and gave her a second chance.

Shit Trump is a rapist, thief, traitor, felon and he got a second chance.

Thought all the talk bout flt attendants bein flying whores was just some ole b.s....until i started flyin for work..

For all you niggas taumbout "Oh the humanity! Please give her a 2nd chance.", you do that shit for kids who don't know any better, not for grown ass people who know the rules and consequences, b.k.a FAFO. Also, 2nd chances won't deter other dumb bitches from doing the same thing. The message the airline is sending to the public and its employees is "We don't do that shit it here."

Not saying there shouldn't be consequences but firing is extreme. She should have been written up. That leaves room for her to learn from the mistake going forward and it keeps rehire/retrain costs down. Everybody wins.
This ain’t community college. You know what they want her to learn? How to serve cokes and cookies. How to deal with unruly passengers. How to help passengers in time of an emergency. Other than that, they ain’t worried about her learning a damn thang. Do y’all know how many people are lined up to get airline jobs? Really! Do y’all have any idea how long the line is for jobs working for airlines? Room for her to learn?? She learned alright.

I knew I was going to see it, but I’m still shocked when people act like you should be able to do whatever you wanna do and there’ll be no consequences. It’s still shocking to me. They just don’t get it.

Side note: if you worked with her and saw her dancing like that, would you sexually harass her? I don’t mean in a creepy way, but in a let me tap that ass kind of way?

Yeah,I'm surprised people disagree with the firing. Too many times folks not acting professional and act shocked that they're fired from their job.

People are so repressed & uptight. Maybe give her a warning 1st? She was fully clothed and that was a minor twerk, she wasn't bussin that thang lol... People are just mad to see black people be happy, it seems. Sad.

Flight attendant who set up GoFundMe page after being fired for ‘twerking’ on the job speaks out

The flight attendant was sacked for ‘twerking’ on the job

A flight attendant who set up a GoFundMe page after being fired for ‘twerking’ while on the job has spoken out in a tell-all interview.

Nelle Diala worked as a flight attendant for Alaska Airlines for over six months, but she claims she was fired from her ‘dream job’ as a result of twerking while on duty.
The seemingly ‘harmless’ clip shared on her ‘personal social media account’ saw Diala in the aisle of a plane, one leg up on a seat and shaking her nether regions, before dancing around in a circle and performing other dance moves to the camera.
She was then seen walking towards the camera before turning around again and giving a shake.
“The video went viral overnight, but instead of love and support, it brought unexpected scrutiny. Although it was a poor decision on my behalf I didn’t think it would cost me my dream job,” she said.

The now former flight attendant alleged her employer ‘accused [her] of violating their social media policy’, and despite her explaining the ‘video wasn’t intended to harm or the company’, they reportedly ‘didn’t want to listen’.
“Without warning, they terminated me. No discussion, no chance to defend myself – and no chance for a thorough and proper investigation,” Diala added.
She went on to explain the video didn’t ‘even mention the airline ‘by name’ and she’s always ‘careful’ about what she shares online.
The flight attendant concluded by saying losing her job has been ‘devastating’.
After her story went viral, Diala sat down with Inside Edition to discuss her sacking and where she goes from here.
She told the outlet: “I didn’t think that being so happy could turn into something like this. They just said that I broke their social media policy.
“I was really proud of myself that I came so far. I just didn’t think that my video and my post and the way I was dancing would be deemed as inappropriate.”
The former flight attendant continued: “I put on such a proud face every time I stepped on that plane and for them to terminate me without giving me a chance…it just was unfair.”

A GoFundMe was set up after Diala was fired from her job as a flight attendant ‘to make ends meet due to this sudden loss of income and until [she’s] able to find another flight attendant position elsewhere’.
The fundraiser has been subsequently closed after reaching $3,312 raised.
