Therefore the distance to the horizon is 0.81 miles.

Look at the horizon and the shadow of the "spaceship" in this pic or ANY moon landing pic for that matter....

apollo_lm.jpg

Since the moon has no atmosphere :rolleyes2: there should be no refraction.

So there should be a clear, 360 degree horizon, 0.8 miles in distance, in every direction from where the guy is standing.

.....but that's the moon tho right?
in your opinion how far off is the horizon in that image?

If an object is heavier than air it's falling to the ground.

If it's lighter than air it's gonna float up to the sky.

Where does gravity fit in? Oh right, it determines the weight of everything on earth right? .......like how humans weigh less on the moon because of less "gravity"?
14.7 psi...

can a helium balloon float into space?
how about a hydrogen balloon?

If an object is lighter than air it's going to float up to the sky? How is that possible? In which scenario, is proof of such assertions?

Air is measured in pressure/density. Even throughout the atmosphere, air density is not uniform. Water molecules and dust particles are heavier than air, but they rise and propagate due to wind caused by the temperature gradient in the atmosphere.

When water particles are suspended in clouds, the constant bumping and growth of the water molecule will eventually cause it to fall. Yes, the weight becomes heavier than the air.

But how is weight calculated? Weight = mass x gravity( or the gravity constant). Meaning all objects fall at a constant acceleration rate of -9.81 ms^2. If I drop a basketball and a car from the same height, they will land at the same time. So what do y'all call that phenomena? What formula do y'all use to calculate weight?

Do y'all use just mass? Mass = volume x density. If that's the case, you measuring something by 'weight' is wrong since you don't believe in gravity. Should we be measuring objects by density?

What happens to an object that moves? Is has Momentum = mass x velocity and the formula for velocity = Δx (displacement) / Δt (time).

But since we know that velocity is not uniform and it accelerates, the acceleration is caused by some Force = mass x gravity, we can replace gravity with acceleration since gravity as WE use it is for a free falling object, Force = mass x acceleration.

The thermodynamic state of the atmosphere at any point is determined by the values of pressure, temperature and density (or specific volume at any point). And since there is a temperature variation, which also causes the pressure and density of an air particle to change, there has to be a balance between the density times the gravity of an object and the decrease of pressure -dp above the gradient. This is called hydrostatic balance. In the atmosphere, the pressure of the air decreases with increasing altitude. This pressure difference causes an upward force called the pressure gradient force. The force of gravity balances this out, keeping the atmosphere bound to Earth and maintaining pressure differences with altitude.

This is used to measure the variation of pressure and determine the pressure gradient force with is directly related to how wind moves through our atmosphere. Without gravity you can not mathematically explain this mechanism.

Btw, when y'all gonna address this moon situation?

24,901 : 3
6,786 : 0.81

The circumference of the ball earth is 24,901 miles.

Therefore the distance to the horizon is 3 miles.

The circumference of the moon is 6,786 miles.

Therefore the distance to the horizon is 0.81 miles.

Look at the horizon and the shadow of the "spaceship" in this pic or ANY moon landing pic for that matter....

Doesn't make me much of a difference. Your explanation here doesn't prove much.

3 miles.

At a height of 6 feet, the distance to the horizon on Earth is 3 miles according to a distance to horizon calculator based on a shperical earth.

Link: http://www.ringbell.co.uk/info/hdist.htm

But you're ignoring the assumptions made for this formula and the explanation in the last paragraph clearly states above sea level the distance of the horizon increases. At the top of a mountain range at 400 m (1312.34 ft) high the distance of the horizon will be 71.4 km (44.3659 miles).

Are you ever going to consider elevation in your argument or are you going to continue like we don't live on a planet with hills, mountains, valleys, plateaus, and steppe?

14.7 psi...

can a helium balloon float into space?
how about a hydrogen balloon?

The shadow looks to be between 30-60 feet. It's definitely not 3/4 of a mile like it should be if the moon is supposed to be a sphere. The horizon on a spherical moon with NO REFRACTION should be 0.78 miles away (at a height of 6 feet).

I dare you to find any moon landing photo where the horizon is 0.78 miles away.

And helium or hydrogen will float into the upper atmosphere until it's weight is the same as the upper atmosphere where the air is thin. If you want to call that "space" so be it....but that's how buoyancy works....

.....which makes it even crazier to think if you keep going high enough outside the earth's atmosphere yo' big ass will float like that fakeass ISS bullshit. Earth's "gravity" is no longer strong enough to pull you back down BUT simultaneously strong enough to hold the moon in place.....

It's all bullshit. The earth is flat.

Catch y'all tomorrow.

Yes, I'm considering elevation. But if the moon is a sphere, the horizon at 6ft or more will surely show a horizon that extends more than 100 feet, unlike those fake ass moon photos.

I didn't ask you any of that...

so again - in your opinion how far away is the horizon in that picture?

"weight is the same as the upper atmosphere where the air is thin" - ok... your balloons will get no where near "space" or the upper atmosphere - at best with the right material it will ascend 20 miles (very far from the edge of space), rubber or mylar will rupture long before that
Also thin means less air pressure - not less weight...

so- on a flat earth, why does the air get "thinner" at higher altitudes -dense at sea level
-very dense below sea level - progressively?

if the earth is flat why isn't the "weight" / pressure uniform?

512flatearth.jpg

why does pressure continue to increase progressively the lower you go - even under water?

goddamn man

This is starting to get like the cat saying lil Wayne was from New Orleans and Kevin gates was from Louisiana.

Bruh there's so much wrong with this and its clear you can't see it because you don't understand the shit you're talking about. We're trying to help but you're rejecting it fam and its RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU but you too dug in. Maybe it's ego. But I swear man you're wrong as two left shoes.

You're using the very principles you're saying aren't true to make the arguments you are making against them. 4dimensional giving you the math at its MOST basic, but you're either running from it or can't catch it.

You don't get how gravity works. I'll ask again, what is your understanding of how gravity works, what causes it, et cetera?

And since the moon does "not" rotate where is it's gravity coming from?!? Waiting for that "smart ass" to give a "dumb ass" answer.................wait for it.............!

He can't call weight 'weight' if he doesn't believe in gravity. He's got to use mass or density.

I would like to see his explanation though.

this some real ged type shit right here

Very basic physics. I actually had to stop myself because I started doing derivations that lead to other formulas.

Looking at nothing but YouTube videos does not show to measure the shit they come up with.

Jesus man. Is this another one or a name change?

These muhfuckas are beyond help.

Gawd damn... I just stepped back in here an noticed another dude has popped up.

This shit is spreading like the fucking Z virus.. and I'm not talking about the Good Z-virus from the Resident Evil games... I'm talking about Resident Evil 5 movie type shit.

I'm also trying to understand why there's all this hatred towards N.A.S.A..

I mean you guys act like they were the first to breach the stratosphere.

Surely.... the guys who breached the Stratosphere wouldn't be affiliated with N.A.S.A.

giphy.gif

I fucking knew that one of these dudes was going to fall for my trap and mention some fucking Auguste Picard....

All of these flat dudes bring up the same thing. The exact same thing...

A flat disk, dude. He said a flat disk. C'mon...

And a vacuum can't sheer off the Earth's atmosphere. Gravity (mostly in the form of centrifugal force) holds everything in place. And yes, it can & has been tested & duplicated.

anyone that has flown over 40k' was able to see the earth's curvature, its even more prominent at lower altitudes the closer one travels to the polar regions
fly Chicago to Moscow or Helsinki or even London

You can sail East and West to get to China. If you set sail from the US, it will take you a lot longer to get there if you sailed East than West. Have a flat Earth believer explain that shit to me. Even if sailors still had to travel around South America instead of crossing the Panama Canal, the trip is still shorter going West.

Ok 13 pages! Alright so one question to all the flat earthers WHY FLAT? For all of the reasons that the majority of people believe the earth to in fact be round you guys come with your reasons why you believe the earth is not round but why is it flat? Fuck it throwing everything out the window the photos of earth from satellites (do you guys use Google maps?), other planets with round shapes, and so on... Why flat? Why not cube or any other shape? Why flat? Why are other planets and stars not flat? Why flat?

I asked this question on Page 4 of the Flat Earth Vol 2: Epicness of Awesomeness Thread...

and 31 pages later...

this is was first and only attempt at an answer..

So then I responded with

And then Crickets....

That's when we went on the Epic....

1600 ft and Google Search Conspiracy discussion...

So anyway... Let's get back to it...

Tectonic plates, Magma, Earth's core..... Give me some explanation.

No Youtube clip art videos. I need scientific explanations.

No problem. I'll address these when I get time on the weekend.[/QUOTE]

It's been almost a year and I'm still... waiting on a Legit Plate Tectonics answer from you.

You might as well just end this thread if you can't explain how the earth is able to form molten rock or how people from Africa and Asia were able to end up in North America before Columbus and the Spaniards.

Can you explain... How this picture could possibly exist without Plate Tectonics

main-qimg-ad9f17e5646dd24dfcc4e51dc98d5edf-c

Can you explain... How these videos can even happen on a Flat Earth?

None of these things can be explained without conceding in the existence of Plate Tectonics and if you concede Plate Tectonics... You HAVE TO CONCEDE that the Earth has a Core. If you concede that it has a Core then.... You HAVE TO CONCEDE the Earth is round.

So I'll just keep on Waiting until one of you Flat Earthers gives me an Answer... that doesn't involve some Clip Art You-tube video.

This isn't even a Math Formula... This is pure observational science.

Yeah I need an answer to this too... Why is the Earth the Only Flat object? What makes the Earth Special?

If you look in a Telescope... You can see that other Planets and Stars are clearly Round.

Wouldn't it be easier if the Earth was round like the other planets? No one would have to worry about falling off the face of the earth.

When I was in Alaska deploying to the mid east we flew to Japan to Turkey to Qatar. On the way back we flew from Qatar to Germany to Maine to Minneapolis to Alaska. Not sure how that's possible on a flat surface.
it's possible when you believe the earth is flat because your country ass ain't never been nowhere on it.

because poor crackers believe it - spread like the love of white jesus and catholic priests -
the earth is flat because scared white men said it.

during the middle of the industrial revolution a bunch of insecure white people and religious zealots insisted the earth must be flat -
(Same crackers that pervert Darwin's work to support racism and justify free market capitalism "survival of the fittest" - but deny his real work and evolution.)

Now that we are in the middle of the information revolution... the same scared cracker mythology has been bubbling back up like the stench of low tide

The most fucked up thing is that you don't even need Math, Science, or NASA to know that the Earth has to be round. You can literally see this shit with your own eyes. Math is only needed to provide an explanation for what the eye already sees.

This is the craziest part to me about this Theory. This isn't like looking for the existence of Jesus.

I'mma be honest... this sounds like the type of thinking that happens when you get hold of too much Sativa, get the munchies, go to IHOP, and start having revelations about the universe.

My first weed based thought was when I picked up a Bible, looked at the cover, and thought, "If this is God's book, then why is James' name on the cover??"

Real talk.

Y'all kats are not allowed to use "weight" anymore!
