I can answer both of these questions with two words:
Video rendering.
That said, fuck them. I'm not paying that much for a computer.
3d software, a special kind of rendering I do with 3Delight, which uses CPU rather than graphics cards for processing.
It would allow me to render anime style (Boondocks, Black Dynamite,etc) animations in seconds, rather than hours.
How the fuck are you able to do shit like this and still believe the Earth is flat....

Yeah SoftImage is the shit. They used it to produce Guilty Gear XRD - Revelator, which is precisely the kind of anime style I'm doing. But I found a far easier way to do it (for anime film/video, not games) using Daz3d.
