The trending articles cast Eddie's statements as an apology in a way I don't feel is accurate. I think his statements were recognition, not an apology.

It’s just you want to lean toward something your certain about versus a mystery box since he hasn’t done stand up in years.
Not that he can’t be funny but it’s the “Michael Jordan coming back to play for the wizard effect.” You hate to see a great go out like that trying to make a comeback.
The gay jokes stood out the most to people, that’s what resonated with them.

Eddie's woman look better in the second pic than the first, her cosmetic work produces different results depending on the angle.

IMO for Eddie to be successful with his comedy return he has to be more personal and even self-deprecating.
Its the one thing he's missing that people would respond to especially since he's so private.
