Deion Sanders: Blacks Have ‘Audacity’ to Judge Cooper For Using ‘N’ Word

I have no clue why people keep relating this to the slang term "nigga". It doesn't matter if we say it like that, that wasn't the context of it and was the furthest thing from Cooper's mind when he said "*******". That's neither here or there in this situation. Now I'd get this argument if we were talking about that V-Nasty white bitch from that white girl rap group saying it because she just thinks it's a trend, but that's not the case here at all.

Deion and Irvin are both some simple and basic ass negroes though. Ol' brainwashed holy-rollers when they want to be. That's how a lot of them middle aged bamas are.

done.

Deon dropped some knowledge that black folk just don't want to hear. It is called accountability. That is like when females call each other bitches but gets mad when a man does.

You were not alive 500 years ago. Let it go
so becase he was not alive he should let it go? its one thing if everything was kumbaya but you know damn well that isnt the case and these people still hate us.

Deon dropped some knowledge that black folk just don't want to hear. It is called accountability. That is like when females call each other bitches but gets mad when a man does.

what knowledge? lol what you and him dont seem to understand is that not every black person uses that word. so how can he generalize it? another thing is i bet that if you call his daughter a bitch or his son a asshole, sanders is going to go off on you. and i bet you a 100bucks he uses those words too.

Please give me an example.

Not saying you, but it amazes me how SOME black people are so eager to claim the trash of whites (namely the N-word) but will run away from books, knowledge, and skills.

I would be more impressed with these black fools who use the N-word if they weren't buying white brands, watching white movie stars, working for whites, and worshipping the white Jesus.

Where you are socio economically regardless of race determines the words you use. Those Jersey Shore kids all came from lower middle class and rough and tumble backgrounds and they threw around guido and guinea like lower class blacks toss around the N word.

Same with gays, jews, irish, asians, arabs, women, etc. The probvlem is that blacks are always judged by their worst.

Riley Coopers feelings and career are more important than each and every black man in the NFL. His whiteness supercedes them all. On the plantation they are all niggas, so its unrealistic to expect a big punishment towards Riley for this. I love football, but the brothers in the league stay on some house shit (moreso than in other leagues).

this is going to be controversial, but i thought about it...

...and deion sanders saying this makes me believe it even more strongly.

There are people in the black community who are willing to kiss up to white people, and lambast their own people openly.

Why?

Well, to be frank, these people are basically comparing and contrasting the pros and cons of kissing up and black solidarity...

...and conclude that their are far more benefits to kissing up to white people than their are to black solidarity.

What do we have to offer them?

Hope?

Nick cannon let nugent come on his show and wild the fuck out. Why? The white man's check is too good.

Deion is out there tap dancing? What can we offer him not to tap dance?

Clarence thomas is one of the biggest coons to ever live. Why wouldn't he be?

The fact of the matter is we don't get respect from other races, and even some within our race because we don't do nothing but talk shit and swallow spit that's all we do. People would hate us even more if we actually stood on our word, and become the force that we were decades ago, but at least they'd respect us.

You may hate the dude who'll blow your brains out for talking shit to him, but you'll think really long and hard before you talk to him sideways though, right?

We create shit, and let other people profit off of our creation.

No one respects us, because they wouldn't do the shit we do.

We go out to vote and don't even have an agenda. We just vote.

Who does that?

So, bash these sell-outs if you must, but what is the black community offering them to buy into?

Not a damn thing.

We get heated for a month or so, and go back to lettin' the world fuck us over.

Shit may sound harsh, but i'm sick of momentary solidarity.

excellent post!!!

Sanders is spot on. That word isn't a privilege. There's no honor in it. It's only expressed when discrimination and injustice come into play. Shit ain't no legit term of endearment. At least not for broadcasting to random company.

Thank you! At first I thought I was the only one to see Deion's side on this and IMO he right.

We throw this word around like its the word "the." Its used in our everyday speaking, our music and in our movies. Yet we want to get upset because a white boy says it. Why? The claim was to take we wanted to take ownership of the word. Mission accomplished........no, no it wasn't. If you think we "now" own the word then your delusional and its never going to change.

Guess what you can't have it both ways. Its funny but audacity is the right word for this because the reactions I'm reading shows we have established double standards. How can it be alright for us but not alright for them? The fact is we don't own the word or any other words. That word will never mean the same for both white and black people. It wasn't meant to be.

Deion spoke the truth but most it seems aren't ready for the truth. Years of effort to change the meaning the word yet nothing has changed.

Agreed! Most of these people know what context he used that word and black folks still defending and going after their own. White folks could kill off most blacks in the world and its some black folks who will defend that, no matter what they have to defend whitey! :smh::smh:

I agree I think what has happened is that white people have tricked many blacks into being scared to defend themselves by crying reverse racism

Negro please, I don't even say the word, accountability for what?! Cooper's use of the word has NOTHING to do with blacks using it. You can't act like he said it because black folk think it's okay to use. He said it to be spiteful and degrading just like when white folks originally started calling us this derogatory term. Like I said, if he used it in the way of it being the pop culture reference it is now, I'd still find it ignorant since it's an ignorant word anyway, but I wouldn't really question his character and feel he's racist. He'd just be a fool like that V-Nasty chick for thinking it's okay to say.

:yes:Cannot wait for this season. I'm watching every route Cooper runs. Ray Lewis retired a season too soon. Dude gonna get killed on his routes. He getting blasted for his comments and Trayvon. Refs gonna have to throw stand your ground flags!

Nigga you always want to be the one who goes against the grain

That Tom didn't drop no knowledge

Stop it

bruh you the only one foaming that was perfectly normal response

First off, that comment was not a reply but a heads-up incase someone wanted to dive in head-first into a shallow pool. Secondly, if you had continued to read on, you would see neither of us are "foaming" but actually having a conversation basing our own opinions.

Quite frankly, Deion Sanders has always been pretty straight laced with his langauge. Doesn't use profanity, doesn't use the word nigga.

I used to be thrown off by the curl and gold chain and the arrogance, but Deion, not PrimeTime, is a straight laced, almost square, cat.

None of his views on this are surprising to me.

Whether you agree or disagree, blacks are not a monolith.

Yeah I never looked at it as a term of endearment......I put it in the same category as dumbasses saggin their damn pants.....

its coon/buffoonery........

I agree...this is why I said if anyone uses the word they should be disciplined....

HOWEVER....

what I don t like is that EVERYONE is trying to make an excuse for this whiteboy (not saying you)

but folks are using the "Well black people use the word." In order to make an excuse for this dude....

WHY DO WE HAVE TO EASE THIS WHITE BOY'S PAIN?????.....C'MON MAN....

umjenet-malcolm-x-quote-on-media-and-oppression_1024.jpg

Deep now we(not all) don't like Deion for what he said, white stay winning! Bgol took a stance on this years ago. We don't use the word here. Cooper knows what the word means he was ready to pull a Zimmerman!

These young kids really believe that "term of endearment", it's "context", it's pop culture bullshit to defend using the N-word.

The white/Jews have these black kids so turned around, so indoctrinated with Jordans, electronic toys, fancy cars, sports, cRAP music, white heros/superheros, celebrities, credit cards/scores, and white TV shows/movies...

that these black people are actually defending being called a racial slur.

I saw the rise of this back in the early 1990s. Was hoping something it would stop it, and nothing ever did.

So, what we get is this lost, confused, misguided younger generation that thinks the height of social activism and involvement is fighting to be called the N-word... and fighting other black people to do it!

If this younger generation doesn't get its act together, they are headed right back where the N-word started, and that is the plantation.

No progress. Nothing gained after 500 years in the Western Hemisphere.

Came here as a slave and will end up as a slave... and willingly too!

WHY DO WE HAVE TO EASE THIS WHITE BOY'S PAIN?????.....C'MON MAN....

It's like that's what some blacks have been programmed to do :smh:

Make excuses for white people for what they do

I guess they have been doing fucked up shit for so long that some have just resorted to trying to reason with why they do it instead of just seeing the evil for what it is

Deon dropped some knowledge that black folk just don't want to hear. It is called accountability. That is like when females call each other bitches but gets mad when a man does.

It also accountability when he used the word. Black ppl get criticize for blaming whites for some of the problems in the world but White ppl can do shit and blame Black folks and it is no problem. :smh::smh: :smh::smh:

Whites and the coons who emulate them and fear them dont believe whites should ever be accountable to non-whites for anything. Slavery, Jim Crow, white folks using racial slurs at country music concert are our fault.

Riley Cooper is a victim.

Lmaooooo

It's always something about these former cowboys 49ers and falcons

And on that note

I'm going to watch any given Sunday too count how many times Jim brown LT ll cool j Jamie foxxx says nigga

And then count how many times Cameron diaz and Dennis quail say it

These network sports guys are MASCOTS they represent the ideology of the company. Recall when SAS went in about Brett Favre as being selfish and overrated he was suspended and fired shortly after. Comply or resign...simply

It's the lifestyle, notoriety, fame that these guys need. It's like an addiction...they'll compromise integrity for that fix. The money can be made elsewhere, books, appearances, etc etc

The N-word debate is tiring. The word is a negative identification of black Americans no matter who uses it. I'm trying to use it less because subliminally I realize I use it to judge or depreciate the value of my brothers. I never used it to promote, encourage or praise anyone . I think we get upset when a CAC uses it because it forces us to confront the ugliness of the word that we try to neglect

You can decide to use it or not, but ask yourself why whites are so concerned about how we talk to each other?

Just like they're so concerned about black on black crime?

Why would you as a white person be so afraid of us if we're clearly preoccupied with killing ourselves?

The word isn't the issue, it's about having control over everything we do.

If we started saying tulips frequently, they would find a way to chastise us about that and control our frequent use of the word while coons jump in to cosign the shit.

:itsawrap:

Probably your best post ever. Salute.

The problem is black people in America don't have economic solidarity or clout.
Because of this, we become slaves and prostitutes to whoever cuts our check.

Brothas and sistas are fighting for that right wing/white supremacy check.
Deion Sanders, Don Lemon, Stephen A. Smith, Charles Barkley, Nick Cannon, etc. have all gotten on their knees and became lapdogs for a check.

Its a shame too because their political views are given weight because of their entertainment accolades when they are the fucking worst.

This is the main reason why I believe you don't have many ball players speaking on social issues, because they worry about the money instead of having some dignity to speak out on stuff like this.....:smh::smh::smh:

Ill be dayum,if Im going to play with a racist white player....:hmm:

not surprising. not trying to lose that money or fake stature.

i wish there would be someone who's not afraid to lose their tv job that would speak the real truth.

its troubling to me how they bought into the american way of life. how they got theirs and now they could care less about us.

and irvin?

come on mike don't shut that filter off dude. it got you ousted at espn keep it real on the nfl network man.

its just incredibly troubling ALL of these black people that are defending this white boy like the network sent out emails saying you better defend him or else

and then the whole rap angle

and the "we use it"

who the fuck is we?

you generalizing us... does we include YOU TOO?

:smh:

As much I can't stand the rap music that's out now,its been a scapegoat for a long time...

Columbine shooting = rap music fault

Paula Deen saying the n-word = rap music/black people's fault

Riley Cooper saying the n-word = rap music/black people's fault

The list is infinity..but somehow people just can't say that white person is a racist....:smh:

26 next month.

Riley Cooper= 26year old kid who made a mistake

Trayvon Martin= 17year old man who caused his own death

I said this yesterday,I hate it when people say "Its a mistake",knowing full well it wasn't.

Accidentally, spilling a cut of water is a mistake.

Accidentally, knocking the garbage is a mistake, but somehow when a white man says a racial slur about black people its a mistake....:smh::smh::smh:

Whites and the coons who emulate them and fear them dont believe whites should ever be accountable to non-whites for anything. Slavery, Jim Crow, white folks using racial slurs at country music concert are our fault.

c/s

:smh::smh::smh:

People think using the n word and the illusion of black privilege allows us to carry on with that bullshit. The sad truth is it simply sounds cool to say time and time again.

It's like convincing the world that I own this block, but you can have the world. So, stop obsessing my block.

We know the general term for whites ain't moving shit but you head North East where it matters. Start calling people wasp, wops, spics, and mics etc. And please be white also. Being non-white is a given. They will shed your skin from your frame.

If whites want to call blacks out, I'm cool provided we get a green light to broadcast those ethnic slurs also.

I thought the subliminal jabs were enough to raise ire. What the fuck?

you're exactly fucking right
but these dudes are too fucking blind to even see the shit.

why is what we say a national talking point an issue?

BECAUSE they can't say it and if they can't say it they don't want ANYONE to say it

As much I can't stand the rap music that's out now,its been a scapegoat for a long time...

like any of those people listen to fucking rap music

paula deen?

columbine kids?

cooper who was at a country music concert?

punk asses are too scared to fight back

why is what we say a national talking point an issue?

Obviosuly they can say it and you can't do shit about it.

So, I don't understand why you have these young dummies who think they are going to dictate what words will and will not come out of the mouths of whites.

You are just a worthless, nobody in their eyes.

Say the N-word all you want. So, will whites.

If you don't like it, go fuck yourself. Because if you are chickenshit enough to fight to call yourself a racial slur, then you are no threat to anybody but other black people.

That's the reality of the situation.
