Agents of shield last year was some of the greatest story telling I have seen on terrestrial TV in a long time...and Disney had to step in to save it

Oh shit are they doing Stranger things next week... man this fucking show is just running on a confidence unseen since Arrow Season 1.
I usually wait till Arrow, Flash and Legends hit Netflix but damn @fonzerrillii i may have to start downloading the episodes...ESPECIALLY if there are anymore 3/4 way crossovers coming up.

Man this show just gives me old school Saturday night sindicated TV emotions. Back when you had Xena and Hercules and Cleopatra 2025..... I’ve completely forgotten how good it feels to watch a show completely embrace what it is. They just need to leave out the romance and just have these guys traveling through time causing mayhem. I’m loving this shit.
And it’s crazy because if you read my shit on the first few pages of these thread... you can see that I hated this show. I haven’t had this type of turnaround on a show since Agents of Shield first half of season 1.
I couldn’t for awhile but it does everything else so right that I’m giving it a pass. And it’s not like they put Jax on the sideline. Somehow this show is able to give all of their characters a specific moment each episode. It’s the type of thing that fucking wish Arrow and Flash would do.
I think it works best here because the show feels like an ensemble. Their isn’t a true dominant character since Rip became background.
Final moment before I head in... so we know that Rips hidden armory on this ship is likely going to be related to the Big Crossover but now I’m actually thinking that the Argus becoming militarized in the future is going to be related to the crossover to. It is almost starting to seem like Arrowverse is slowly setting up a big Meta Human Registration Act moment. Which could be groundbreaking...

I think it's obvious why they can't use the name "Isis"..

Man I hope so... because if they are heading towards a Meta Human Registration Act scenario... Then Black Lighting would be the perfect show to deal with that topic while the other shows are on hiatus. They could incorporate some Black live matters into and it would carry a bigger emotional impact... Since he has to come out of retirement to become a hero again. That decision matters a lot more if he has the new pressure of society telling him that he needs to register. They could end up with a DC version of Civil Wars in Place for next season.
Why do you like the above the others? I kinda have to force myself to watch it. I slipped episodes last season. I skipped the second season this episode. I think its mostly due to my dislike of the characters. I don't like the Steele dude. Partly because of the relationship with Mya and his powers are manufactured. Rory ain't the same without Snark. Rip Hunter just brought them together. Without him it's not the same.
Because I decided after season one that I would no longer just go with my expectations of what I perceived that the characters should be.. and then I noticed what the show is about. It’s not trying to be serious. It’s trying to be like Xena and Hercules. It’s a Saturday morning sindicated show on cable and this show has made me realize how much I miss old school Wgn sindicated shows.
if you go back and watch season 2 and 3 of Hercules... this is exactly the type of blend of action and comedy that Hercules mastered.
I can get why most wouldnt like it but I’m loving this shit now. The style of the first season doesn’t work with these characters...
Hell I just finished this episode before I’ve started Flash.
Loved the 80s call backs in this episode. Especially the Biff waxing the car bit, the ET bit, and the dance bit.
