Daunte Wright Police Kill Another Unarmed Man In Minneapolis (Story Developing)

Your REALISTIC solution is what?
I've noticed this about you. If your mind can't imagine it then it's unrealistic lol. Neighborhoods policing themselves isn't a radical concept or new. Also if you allow these officers to lose their pension if they are involved in these shootings and or be sued that would serve as a deterrent. People only care when their pockets are affected

If those same cacs become " community police officers" whats really changed?

Thats my point here. I don't live in a neighborhood where its only black peeps. My kids dont go to a majority black school. So who does the policing in our communities?

We gotta get into it and get our hands dirty too.

Also, we BOTH know your idea aint happening.

your community probably doesnt suffer from over policing. its the black peeps communities that have the issue with police.

Minnesota police officer Kim Potter, who shot and killed Daunte Wright during a traffic stop, resigns
Minnesota police officer Kim Potter, who fatally shot a Black man during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis, and the city’s chief of police resigned on Tuesday. Mayor Mike Elliott said he hoped that the moves would bring some calm to the community, although people ultimately want justice. He also added that he has asked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to have Daunte Wright's case go to the Attorney General's office instead of Washington County Attorney's Office.

sounds like she honestly fucked up.

She yelled taser several times then fired. The second she pulled the trigger it sounded like she said “Oh shit I shot him” realizing it was a gun instead of a taser.

Even the cop to her right looked at her like “WTF did you just do”.

She’s not going to prison because they’d have to prove intent. The family will sure and the city will pay.

The family nor does anyone else want to hear that the officer made a mistake, but after viewing the video and hearing her it just sounds like she fucked up.

Nobody screams “Taser” several times knowing that they have a gun in their hand and shooting on purpose.

Those tragedies dont only happen in majority black communities man...
I didn't say they did...the impoverished neighborhoods suffer the most from over policing and harassment. That's a day to day tragedy that you wouldn't understand because you don't live there. I grew up in that kind of community. A cop killing an unarmed black male isn't the only trauma we have to deal with when it comes to law enforcement.

Dude you don't know where I grew up lmao.

You ever think you should ease up on making everything personal?

It makes you come off as weird and childish.

I can't control how you take things. I corrected you because you misunderstood. You stated where you live as if that matters. That does explain alot tho. You think you came up cause you live around crackers huh

You making false assumptions only reflects on you, not on others.

This thread is about a brother who died tragically so i have zero interest in getting in a silly back and forth with you.

Then she killed him on purpose, she waited 25 years to kill a 20 year old running from a weed warrant.

That sounds about right to me, and you too.

Have you ever held a gun before?
It DOES NOT feel like at taser AT ALL.
The weight is completely different.
What was the cause for her drawing her weapon?
Did she see him reaching for or brandishing a weapon? NO.
This same B.S. excuse has been used before to get cops off.
"Oops, I murdered" is not legit reason to go unpunished.

I guess you value the word of some cracker bitch over a young black man's life, huh?

It’s not about valuing her word, it’s about viewing the video and basing an opinion on the video.

A gun and a taser are two totally different weapons to hold and I know that. But for her to yell out “Taser” three times just so that she’d be covered by law when she purposefully shot him with her gun is a little far fetched. In my opinion.

She shouldn’t have drawn her weapon, it wasn’t needed because he wasn’t threatening anyone’s life. But when people are resisting arrest cops pull out stun guns to taser the suspects.

I think many are thinking emotionally and not thinking rationally. I’m always fuck the police.l, but realistically speaking. Do you really think she waited 25 years on the force to shoot a 20 year old who wasn’t violent, but running away from a weed warrant?

She’s in the wrong, she should’ve been fired and hopefully she’ll be prosecuted. We all know the city’s going to pay so that’s not up for debate.

The family, the public and I don’t want to hear it. But based off the video it looks and sounds like she just fucked up and made a mistake.

Hopefully she’ll be prosecuted for a mistake but it sounds like it was a mistake. I don’t see her as being clever enough to want to kill him and yell “Taser” just so she could shoot him with a gun. I could be wrong? :dunno:

Has it happened? Probably but I don’t see that in this case.

I totally understand.
I pulled out my keys instead of my wallet to pay for my groceries.
That's NEVER happened, by the way.

If you are not a gun owner, please do not speak on this issue.
There is no other weapon that feels like a gun other than a gun replica like a BB gun modeled after a real gun.
Tasers don't feel like guns.
Guns have safeties. You have to click them off before firing.
So, no I don't believe that she was that stupid and inexperienced.
You've got an excuse for her firing but you can't seem to entertain the thought that maybe after 26 years, she wanted off the force and wanted to go out with a bang.
Resign, retreat, Retirement. Its been done before.

No one is going to tell me a trained veteran of a police force for 26 years gets confused and pulls out a 9mm thinking its a taser. A taser weighs maybe 12 ounces vs. 3 pound 9mm. Plus tasers are worn on the weaker side of the officer. That said no way we're supposed to believe someone served 26 years trained and could make that mistake. An the networks are no better spewing and agreeing to broadcast these lies.

Y'all want this shit to stop, demand through background checks on potentials and to stop hiring from those the KKK and backwoods militia idiots.

What we need to do is to join these police units and police our own neighborhoods. If we police our neighborhoods that white trash can be shipped back to their homes.

I highlighted the word “Excuse” to show you the issue we’re having. It’s a perception issue.

I don’t have an excuse and I’m not excusing anything that she did. I’ve already stated that she was wrong.

Also I’m not speaking about history, I’m talking about this specific shooting. If she shot him knowing that she was holding a gun and yelled out taser just to cover herself, then she’s a very sick person.

That’s all that I’ll say about that.

What kind of gun do you have?

MN police are issued .40-caliber Glocks (newer), 9mm Glocks (older) or Smith & Wessons.
ALL of these guns have safeties.
Believe whatever you want.
Non-gun owners can be fooled because they don't know shit about guns other than what they see on t.v.

Glocks don't have a safety...it's just a trigger...I'm still in agreement with you... that's why I don't own a Glock...this bitch needs to be dealt with...one way or the other...this is plain old wrong...brah
