BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Police have caught and arrested a man accused of raping a 12-year-old inside a NYCHA complex in Brooklyn on Thursday, police said.
Eric McMicheal, 27, was arrested and charged with various crimes on Friday, including the rape of the girl, according to court records.

McMichael faces two charges of rape, one count of burglary, and two counts of sexual abuse, as well as one count of endangering the welfare of a child, according to court documents.
Police say the victim, a resident of the building located near Morgan Avenue and Skillman Avenue, was attacked in the lobby stairwell, around 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
Sources told PIX11 News that the girl was coming home from running an errand when the suspect saw her and said, “I’m going to violate you.” McMichael is accused of pulling her into the stairway and raping her.
Police caught and arrested McMicheal. Police had asked for public help by sharing a CrimeStoppers photo.
