i'm trying best buy's site with in store pick up of the 16 gig but i'm getting blocked because of my postal code
i tried best buys web site which sent me to their canada version. like an asshole i call them looking for help to buy and the chick is like "sir are you on the on the canada site"
ive also been on hold for 20 minutes with hp trying to get the shit direct.
but looks like i'm going to union square tomorow and buy it at full price and return for a price adjutment.
update:
i got my 32gig for $150 from best buy. i went in at 9am saturday morning to the union square store(that's open 24/7)and ccopped it from this chick who didn't mind getting rid of it.she must have thought she was going to get a nice commision kick. later in the day i started reading that they weren't selling them anymore. this morning i read that they were price adjusting and when i went in today with my receipt... sure nuff.
You don't know what you're talking about... It costs Apple approx 250-300 to make an iPad - and they have the lowest production cost of the manufacturers, because they pre buy material... HP is definitely taking a loss on these pads for now....
100 million dollar loss by estimates.
Since im not going to wind up with one for the good price. They have on ebay ones for 230 250 which is still decent money off..is there a tablet out now with as good specs that can be had for this price or is this still a good deal considering the specs of the touchpad

Well I got the email from B&N saying my order was cancelled
On my B&N profile, it still shows the order as Wednesday shipment, and they still have a hold on my Credit Card. My PC Connection got cancelled also. It was a fun ride, maybe when HP starts getting all their shipments that Best Buy sent back, I can score 1.
I got an Ipad2 32GB sitting new in box. I am not paying 200-300 on Ebay for a 16GB Touchpad. If i can't score through normal channels, i am done.

Errr I wasn't trying to flip them I wasn't expecting some orders to go through and the 2 I bought from Walmart they were acting like they weren't going to lower the price either way I think I might possibly have 2 extra.
I am thinking that since a lot of Best Buy's sent there Touchpads back, they will have some back in stock in a few days.

hey everyone I'm just waiting on confirmation that the other ones shipped then I can give an estimate.
They seem to have “204” available i started placing my order then decided to try a review for “insight.com” only thing i really found was a 1 star rating...has anyone ordered from their before?
I was willing to pay $150-175 on Sunday for a brand new 16gb off craigslist...almost got 1 but she took too long to respond...when HP notify me I'll try 1 last time to get it online then that's it...and even that's a longshot cuz a lot of ppl is gonna be doing the same thing...not ordering from any other site tho...my card has enough holds on it behind chasing around online for this shit...and knowing me after all this running around for it I probably won't be impressed even @ $99
For those in here that own an iPad/other tablet and got the Touchpad what are the pros and cons in comparison? Ppl who don't own a tablet are more than likely welcoming the new experience...but I would like to hear from those who have been there done that...does the Touchpad do anything diff/better in your opinions? Thanks...

...the potential huge appeal of the Touchpad for me is the online experience...Apple (no flash) Galaxy Tab 10.1 the font was too small and the flash vids played well but the quality of them was kinda grainy...if the Touchpad can offer me a good net experience comparable to a netbook/laptop then ya $99 is a steal...also has anyone tried dling files on the Touchpad...music files...comic books...pdfs/epubs (things that can easily be done on most other tablets)...now that the excitement has died down I'm thinking straight and these are questions that would be nice to know the answers to before I waste anymore time w/ it...thanks again

everyone knows its a waste. the OS was discontinued. Thus the drop in price, thus the reason everyone is buying them. If you only want to surf the net and watch movies, how is it a waste? Would you rather pay $600 just to do that?
