Call a foul on these sports reporters.
Chicago-based radio hosts Dan Bernstein and Matt Spiegel caused a stir Wednesday night with their crude and inappropriate Twitter banter about CSN Chicago reporter Aiyana Cristal.
After Spiegel takes a swipe at Cristal’s “awkward” on-screen presence, his co-host Bernstein grossly steers the conversation to her body parts.

Spiegel responded by saying: “I am improbably distracted from them by her professional discomfort. It’s a crime.”
He must have quickly realized his stupidity because the tweet was deleted, yet improbably kept this one up.

He would later offer an apology.

My initial tweet was about a reporter's on air presence & work. I stand by that; fair game. Bernstein’s comments didn’t sit well with the Twitterverse, naturally, leading a number of users to call him out on his “dirtbag” behavior.
He ultimately apologized on his radio show on Thursday afternoon.
“I’m an idiot,” Bernstein said on “The Boers and Bernstein Show,” according to the Chicago Tribune. “There are certain times when you can be childish and crass and there are other times when it’s just really stupid to be a child. My tweet was childish, my tweet was crass and unnecessary and I’m sorry I dragged an innocent person into it who’s doing a job and I made an observation I shouldn’t have made, and it was childish and silly and stupid.
He later added: “My words are my responsibility and my words were stupid. And there’s nobody else to blame for any difficulties that I might be going through because of my stupidity. It’s entirely on me. And I own it. And I wish I would’ve had a second thought about sending it, and I’m learning my lesson about what is appropriate, what is inappropriate to say, and I feel bad about it.”
