Cool picture from Beyonce's Lemonade that debuted tonight

Beyoncé wants to act so conscious now as a fad, she knows the conscious thing is cool now so she just riding the wave and with her status she knows she will get people tuned into her more doing it. She's fake though cause she tends to throw stupid phrases in her music but yet want to act like she on a conscious tip at the same time. We lost Prince and now we left with her and her bullshit music smh.

I truly hate when people act like they know what other people feel just keep pretending your the only one awake . I hate fake militants which is most of you in here

What was that all about..? for those who watched it

It's a long form video of her new album Lemonade, laced with a lot of black america imagery, feminists ideology, jealousy, rage and insecurity towards infidelity. The main narrative revolves around her trying to resolve deep daddy issues (that manifest in her marriage also)

I watched it once and was unimpressed, watched with some women later and their reaction gave me much better insight

Why Zendaya looking lik she want's to set it off at Starbucks on the right ?

I just can't stand her fakeness. Before the black lives matter movement came into fruition she wasn't even talking about her blackness then and now since it's a hot thing now she just jumping on the bandwagon now smh.
Would it have been better if she never addressed it? People called her superficial and shallow and claimed she didn't give a fuck about the struggle but when she finally starts showing little signs of problackness folks still aren't satisfied , Lauryn or Erykah she ain't but she's making a conscious effort..she's alrite with me

You mean the crazy chick that can't even sing the songs from her album cause she lied about who wrote them and got sued? That Lauryn? That's the REAL REASON when you see her live she sings her songs differently. That's who you think is deep?? That chick can't even show up less than 3 hours late for the fools that pay to see her.
Lauryn wrote those songs ,the issue was with production credits.. u can't contest her depth or music, she might have lost major steps along the way but she's still touching her god essence

She's addressing it while still being shallow in her songs at the same time.

To people like you NO ONE is black enough. Everyone's blackness is in question, Obama is a coon, MLK was a coon, Prince was too light skinned....etc...etc.

Beware you become what you say you hate.
Lauryn Hill is black enough, Erykah Badu is black enough. These are the people I want to hear, not some phony like Beyoncé.

Ironically, neither of them is still with the father(s) of their children. One is crazy and the other is half way there. Good choices.

but they making conscious music, and can't even keep a man.
How do we know it's their fault they can't keep the man, it could be the mans fault. In Lauryn's case I know it's not her fault cause she wanted to stay in her relationship, but her ex husband was fooling around with different women.

Not mad at all I just think she's fake and putting on an act. The bitch is corny as fuck. I miss the old version of Lauryn Hill, now she was a real artist.

exactly. exactly what i thought.
its because of who she is not the message itself. which is the definition of hate. if lauryn hill had done it you'd weep.

so once again you mad suspected name ass board member most likely and cac.

I prefer Lauryn Hill music over Beyoncé music. Also Lauryn didn't promote her blackness for a fad, she been doing it, but I think Beyoncé is just riding the wave of what's hot now.

Usually darker guys hate lighter skin guys cause darker women prefer lighter men over them.
You can usually tell the lvel of idiocy of a post by who responds and co-signs its premise. This is a prime example.

Too late. He's a canadian mulatto.

Those were real terms. Applied to really people. And that appeared to be a photo depicting that era. So it was an apt descriptor. Fuck your sensitivities.

I'm sorry, this is a foolish comment. Maybe she wasn't talking about her blackness because her focus was elsewhere. Maybe she wasn't talking about her blackness because she, like many other black public figures was afraid of the response if she put herself out there. She simply might have been listening to bad advice from her people and cacs eating off her success. Therefore, maybe the BLM movement has opened her eyes to something that is very important and she has decided to use her platform to speak on her blackness in her own way.

The nerve of you talking about someones lack of black consciousness when you created a thread celebrating white women's asses (which I'm not afraid to admit here that I like and contribute to often... But, I'm not the one going on about someone else's lack of black consciousness). Figure out your own shit first before criticizing others. FOH!

The machine behind Beyonce has always been massive

Thats the main reason no other female r&b singer has reached her status yet...

She can do no wrong in the eyes of her fans

I'm not one of them, but she keeps units moving off the shelves

Get yours

So she had to be awaken from a movement that started not long ago, but before then she was talking about "she woke up like this" foh. Like I said she riding the wave of what's hot now. She tends to do that anyway. Just like when "Swag" was a big thing she started saying that a lot as well.

Not quite. New Ark collaborated with her for most of the songs and outright wrote two of them. That's why they got paid $5 million.

Lol man you're the one that sounds sensitive

"No hate, I just see a picture full of ******** and got concerned. And ******** is what they called them back then, so fuck your sensitivities."

See how that sounds? You certainly don't have to gaf but just saying, you're a tad transparent on that one.

Smh people will kill you over that bitch. The same bitch that never wanted her co-members with destiny's child to get shine cause she wanted the spotlight all on her.

Nope. The offended and sensitive ones would be those who responded in the first place. I merely asked a question and then proceeded to expound once questioned. Look at my first post. No hate what so ever there. Also, switching ones words in order to make a non existent point is also a sign of hurt feelings (see bold).... You niggas need to stop projecting. If the quote was truly offensive, it would stand on its own and require no tweaking . Stop trying so hard.

As a woman (who hasn't been scorned,) there still were some images/lyrics that struck a nerve and made it more than just a visual album. Even if she hasn't dealt with infidelity in her marriage, this album is great in the fact that a) the power behind the imagery of seeing black girl magic EVERYWHERE, and b) the power behind the message that a person can hurt you, shake you to your core and you can deal with it respectfully and come out clean on the other side. Every woman/person wants to hear that message... The part with the clip of Malcolm X saying the most disrespected person in America is the Black woman, the most unprotected person in America is the Black woman...Man, listen...I FELT THAT...
