Cool picture from Beyonce's Lemonade that debuted tonight

Nope. The offended and sensitive ones would be those who responded in the first place. I merely asked a question and then proceeded to expound once questioned. Look at my first post. No hate what so ever there. Also, switching ones words in order to make a non existent point is also a sign of hurt feelings (see bold).... You niggas need to stop projecting. If the quote was truly offensive, it would stand on its own and require no tweaking . Stop trying so hard.
It's called an analogy. You don't have to agree for it to be true.

I do believe the lady doth protest too much.

As a woman (who hasn't been scorned,) there still were some images/lyrics that struck a nerve and made it more than just a visual album. Even if she hasn't dealt with infidelity in her marriage, this album is great in the fact that a) the power behind the imagery of seeing black girl magic EVERYWHERE, and b) the power behind the message that a person can hurt you, shake you to your core and you can deal with it respectfully and come out clean on the other side. Every woman/person wants to hear that message... The part with the clip of Malcolm X saying the most disrespected person in America is the Black woman, the most unprotected person in America is the Black woman...Man, listen...I FELT THAT...
Malcolm said that quote cause his former teacher Elijah Muhammad was the one he trusted, but he seen the disrespect directly from him that he had for women from him sleeping with so many of them and impregnating them.

I just can't stand her fakeness. Before the black lives matter movement came into fruition she wasn't even talking about her blackness then and now since it's a hot thing now she just jumping on the bandwagon now smh.

Maybe she evloved after becoming a Mother and now she sees the world through a different lens.
She repped hard. She did the damn thing. Haterz gonna hate. Serena dancing was very nice too.

I was like Serena never twerked in a Common or Drake video....but she drops it in a Beyonce video?

But I aint mad at all. Her scene stealing appearances might get more buzz than Beyonce.

I dont think you know what an analogy is.. Or a protest for that matter. You guys responded to ME. You took issue with MY post. Thats the protest my man..

And changing ones words and applying a quote to it is NOT an analogy hoss. Thats not how that works.. Sorry. :smh:

Keep co-signing the sentiments of a Dr. Truth and a Entrepronegro tho... You're in great company.

Not even gon lie man I've totally lost interest in this exchange. Didn't even read what I just quoted.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday bro

Beyoncé wants to act so conscious now as a fad, she knows the conscious thing is cool now so she just riding the wave and with her status she knows she will get people tuned into her more doing it. She's fake though cause she tends to throw stupid phrases in her music but yet want to act like she on a conscious tip at the same time. We lost Prince and now we left with her and her bullshit music smh.

Instead of her being fake maybe she is just changing as a person. Prince said it himself he is not the same person who made Purple Rain and may of his other songs back in the 80's, he said he had grown as an artist. Maybe just maybe this is what is happening to Beyonce.

Could also be possible that some of the stuff she blew up off of was fake. Maybe she felt like she had to get to certain place in her career to be able to
do what she's doing now. If she would have came out with conscious or "pro Black" music she most likely wouldn't be as big as she is now.

Good point! Because cacs lost their damn mind about the halftime Super Bowl performance. If she would of did that in the beginning of her career she wouldn't be as big as she is now. Either way I like how she is now, props to her for truly speaking her mind.

I see what you mean fam but
I dont mind Beyonce doing her realness politcal black lives matter and women movement thing going on ...why not...she might as well. She already accomplished so many things in her career .Like someone else said here in tbis thread ,maybes he matured and she would not be nearly as popular had she came out from the gate as Beyonce being "radical". lets face it ,she really didnt need to or was expected to go that route but fuck it lets as listeners run with it.She couldve easily continued the Michael Jordan safe route and not step on people's toes. im sure she is reaching out to many segments of population that are not in ground zero of what she is talking about so at least they get to hear it and listen coming from her. Im not expecting her to take a bullet during a protest riot march in the front lines nor would i want her or expect her to... so this will do. Im good with that...i cant expect her to be a militant professor griff hardcore radical style ...you know what i mean. So yes Im proud of her.
Also , her upbringing didnt require her too even go near any form of controversy but she took it there in the peak of her career when she doesnt have too.

(Side note): many artists get sued for biting or stealing a costume design or dance moves but we have to take into co consideration that they have stylist and behind the scene people who present them with things and they run with it. Its not like beyonce is researching an obscure person or designer and stealing their work or nor is she doing dance moves on the fly when she depends on professionals to teach her and these professionals could very well steal shit and give her these stolen ideas but thats neither here nor there though..i coukd be wrong but nust looking at it from both sides of the table.

When I saw the thighs in the beginning of that segment walking down the stairs, I was like b' s thighs ain't that thick lol. Serena's body is built for fucking.

Your response proved my point, she is riding the wave of what's hot now.

to me she's coming off as fake, what does putting hot sauce in her purse have to do with being conscious?

Could very much be this...you have to know that her father was her manager for most of her career, particularly the part she BLEW UP within...this may have been the ultimate "I'm on my grown woman ish" album...I mean, fans/people thought that the last Beyonce album was that, but she obviously is evolving as an artist and a person. Growing older does that to you, as well as becoming a mother...

Yup. Props to her. I honestly haven't paid much attention to her since her first album but if this is what she's on now I'm riding with her.
I see a lot of young sistas on twitter and what not moved and inspired by the project and most aren't on some "fuck men" shit either. Even though some probably are.

cause she's grown. you know how people be like do you want your kids singing your music and artists be like well its different they can't listen to it but your kids should?
its clearly having an effect on her. clearly she wants to show her own daughter how to be a strong black aware woman.

After seeing her, I did not want to look at Beyonce anymore.

I beleive she is riding the wave of maturity self awareness sensitivity to issues outside her bubble pop worldand showing a level of being grounded.

Basically the wave of growth and development. On a financial and political tip, if a pop artist decides to jump on board ita never too late cause unfortunately these issues still exist past and present. To alienate her for coming on board now doesnt help the cause only discourage it. We need as many people as possible

Beyonce lived in a parent trained robotic pop girl group life meanwhile lauren hill grew up scrappy and had her ear to the ground as well as the fact that she lived in her environment and not shielded. Im sure the black activist the Mackeson (?spelling) dude Beyonce follows on social media is happy as well as .....put it this way. Many folks dont contribute to the cause or support local organizations but have comfortable armchair political barbershop talk and nothing is done.

Comparing lauren hill is respectfully unfair as Lauren has peaked and sadly fans move on and if a pop artist like Beyonce decides to take a step outside her comfort zone at her peak compared to other pop stars so be it. Its not financially safe for her to do or say these things yet she did it. Beyonce 's social reachalong with social media anything she says is more impactful than Lauren Hill cause kids foreign teenagers young adults and Americans sadly dont remeber or know lauren hill and if they do, they are not checking for her. They may like Lauren for her style and true to her art form but nor for political commentaries.

If Beyonce can take the Super Bowl and Lemonade as well as JayZ quieltly payong bail money for protestors ( believe it was Baltimore protesters) etc.. then so be it.

As much i criticize jordan for avoiding issues, if he decided to change his ways and take more progeessive action. I would welcome him cause we need all the resourxes we can get to for social justice instead of pushing them away. Its all good though positive conversation were having.

You mean the crazy chick that can't even sing the songs from her album cause she lied about who wrote them and got sued? That Lauryn? That's the REAL REASON when you see her live she sings her songs differently. That's who you think is deep?? That chick can't even show up less than 3 hours late for the fools that pay to see her.

Damn. Fucked up but all facts. lol
