Cookin for your man?

I don't think cooking is submissive. I mean I'm gonna eat so why not feed him too. Anyways my mom brought me up that whenever you have a guest in your home you have to feed them ... so I pretty much cook for anybody that comes over and if I am too tired then I will always buy them something to eat

As long as your mate realizes that it's a PRIVILEGE to have you cook for him and not a RIGHT that he's entitled to as the "master" in the relationship.

I really fear that all the good home cook meals
our grandparents and parents are of a dyinig breed.
Alot of Amercian women imo did not pick up the necessary
skills to carry on. Living in a fast pace society where
instant gratification is the "norm". it's hard to find a Women that will
just be still long enough to put they foot up in some potato salad.

The exception of course is the Women of Sol:rolleyes:
and this women I use to date. She was on the phone like
I've already eaten, but dinner will be here for you when you arrive.
I'm thinking ok cool in the back of my mind I was like
my food gonna be cold when I get there. Homegirl
had the food in thee oven on WARM:eek:...that lil attention
to detail had me blown away just was not use to it.:smh:

it's a two way street though..... I enjoy cooking, it's cool when it's a shared duty.
yall peep the down home with the Neely's out!? Great couple,Great show.

LOL :lol::lol:i just finished cooking so he can take food to work tomorrow:lol:

I love to cook and watch others enjoy. In this relationship we both cook but he does more 1 dish meals West Indian meals while i am more universal.

I don't find it submissive because it's something i enjoy doing.

And all BGOL men make a lot of money and date dimes

:lol::lol:

to respond to big mario's comment i agree with you....i know more friends who cant cook than can...i wonder whats going to happen when they have a family

people in general eat out more than they did in the past...maybe thats why alot of women didnt pick up on what mamma or big mamma was cooking

only thing left for me to master is homemade biscuits....my mom never got the chance to learn from her mother....and i want to keep the tradition going so if i have kids i can pass it to them

no mac and cheese?

i can make it low fat...or just rice if u are lactose intolerant...dont worry i got you:D

if u dont like southern cooking i can do some homemade fettucine alfredo with tirmasui for dessert

i got you!!
wow!!

i have had a couple GF's that could cook..One in particular who could cook her ass off...
But my only problem is..Yeah you can cook..But can you clean?
Dont cook up a kitchen full of Food, then be too lazy to clean it up.
I always meet women who cant or dont like to clean up..
I dont mind doing it but goodness...
If i can clean up while i cook, then why cant she do that..
Nobody wants to clean the kitchen after they eat..
You wanna cuddle or do other activities, lol

damn nigga she done made you this meal and your ass cant put the leftovers away and throw the dishes in the dishwasher. Wow and we wonder why our "sistas" go to the white side or become lesbians. :smh::smh::smh::smh:

You have to know how to cook, if not for your man but also for yourself! For Christmas, I had the family buy me plenty of cookbooks so that I could become skilled in some other foods besides just cajun/creole cuisine and Italian food...I haven't had the chance to cook for him yet like I'd like, but we're working on it...

It plainly says..I can do it..And I have done it..
And if a sista get's mad because i question her cleaning skill's,
and goes to the "White Side,or become a Lesbian"..then she must really hate cleaning up..so bad that she would abandon the race, and stop messing with men...lol

Thanks for your reply though, not mad at all..

I'll be quite honest. I love a woman who can cook a good meal. If you can do that and you have your shit together, it's a wrap. Give me good sex and good food and I'll consider marriage. I never seem to be able to get both at the same time.

I'm no slouch in the kitchen either.

Men and women need to know how to cook and clean. I know how to do both. I love a woman that will cook for me tho. You dont have to do it all the time but its nice to have someone cook for you.

I've always cooked since I was like 11.

So it's natural for me.

I love cooking for my man :)

Most women like to do most things for their man if he's acting right lol

'Xactly

maybe we can exchange some recipies or something

expecially if the guys wanna do something special for thier lady or vice versa:D

Curious about the ladies' take on this...how do y'all feel about doin' the cookin' for the man your with?... is it A.)demeaning and old fashioned or B.) a good trait for a woman to have?

I love to cook for the man I'm with. That is my way of showing how much I love and appreciate him. Of course, he does the same. I am all about pleasing my man....

speaking of cooking

im about to attempt another sugar free 7up cake....my dad is a diabetic and it is his favorite cake

if i get this to work it might be the biggest breakthru ever because ive been trying for a whole year

if anyone is diabetic or knows someone who is diabetic its real hard to find good tasting desserts...if anyone cares ill let u know how it works out

Man, i cant tell how many time a females has cooked for me....wait i cant because all the women i have been with have a problem with cooking. Maybe its my choice in women but i've never had a woman cook for me not once. I've had one particular incident with one chick i dare not talk about but have had numerous women bring me plates from their houses or have heat up leftovers.

I am a very damn good cook myself but for once i really would like a homecooked meal from a woman off the strength of her feelings towards me...hell, trying to cook me breakfast would be good enough the effort...

Splenda. And cut out the 7 Up. Use club soda and that concentrated lime & lemon juice. My daddy's diabetic too. Pretty much he leaves the sweets and white carbs alone now.

Damn follow you may be the queen of healthy.... How would you feel about your own show "cooking healthy while topless"

well the cake i tried was a failuree:smh:

i found a sugarfree cake mix and tried to convert a recpie that doctored up a cakemix with the sugarfree versions...it didnt rise and it ended up tasting like french toast (dont ask me how)

so u are saying use splenda? with the regular recipe?...i have tried subsituting splenda for sugar with the cake mix...and also with the regular recicpe and the cake didnt rise:(

Ohhhhhh. My normal recipe uses flour, 8 egg whites, sugar and butter plus the 7 Up. I think the mix would already have sweetener in it already? Try just using a non-bleached flour, egg beaters, and splenda for your dad. Check your PM

I have to cook- I'm a healthy eater and if I'm not gonna eat garbage neither will he....I will make exceptions for special occasions though! I dont bake though.

It's funny, I took two different females out to dinner last week, and we were on the subject of cooking and neither could cook...sounds like they didn't even try. I've prolly cooked dinner (grilled) more for women, over the last year or so, than I've had women cook for me. It ain't a big deal IMO. I'm not a chef, but I can do a lil sumthin sumthin...I haven't had any complaints. Plus, I always clean as I prepare the meal. I can't stand a messy kitchen. And the few times I had a meal cooked for me, I make sure to help with the clean up. When I was married, I had the mistaken idea that it was my wife's OBLIGATION to cook for me & cleanup afterwards. Now, I value my independence, and I don't want anyone doing anything for me that they don't wanna do...cook, sex, whatever.

im from the south...so not only do i cook...but i cook that stick to your ribs...smothered pork chops...collard greens...mac and cheese...sweet potadoes...and red velvet cake for dinner kind of cooking...all homemade of course

YOU CANN KEEP THE PORK, BUT ILL EAT EVERYTHING ELSE...

By my own admission I wouldn't call myself a great cook, but I'm learning at the moment. Never too late to learn. Got myself some cookbooks and is practising making dishes as I speak.

As for anyone cooking for me, I think thats a wonderful thing for someone for spend time and create a dish for someone else.
