When the Somalis did have a government, what did the Somali government do for its people, from what i can remember that area has been fighting itself for a along ass time. To get money they are are robbing ships that are in international waters and collecting ransoms, why don't they ask their muslim brothers to the south east to break bread and help em out. just curious

thanks for the article. i do find it a little hard it believe that any of the those supplies were for the somalian people. how do you negotiate to send supplies to a country with no real government in place? who does the american government talk to about delivering the supplies to with a country under so much turmoil, not to mention the risk of being stopped by pirates.

I still have not gotten an answer on why the country of Somalia has not received any financial backing by other Muslim countries. The place looks like Haiti when you get there, and its a shame that most Africans countries look the other way at that country.
