medellin is a city full of pros, some about their business, some try to bad. The working girls are fire but harder to get, especially if you don't know spanish and aren't staying. When i travel, i always believe there is a time and place for everything.

You are right about El Poblado though, but that is just a tiny area of Antioquia (about 6.5 million people). I have not stepped in El Poblado in my last 5 to 10 trips. Only time i even see El Poblado is when go and come from airport sometimes.

agreed but I'm speaking for the average traveler that has no idea how to navigate the city and where to go. hoes flock to medellin and dwell in certain areas for the sole purpose of getting gringos. The major cities have more of these women. If you want to a mountain village in the college triangle raised on a finca, less likely she's trying to drug and rob you. But it's true, depends on what you are looking for, how much time you have to explore, where you go.
