They look good . I like the band on them which size did u get ? I like to stay in the 50's

All they had were 50's where I bought them.

I had the 53 torpedo.

It's a pretty good cigar.

I've shared them with a few friends and they purchase on a regular now.

Depends on the cigar. I usually go for the standard cut above the capline for a smooth draw.

The torpedo cigars I cut a little more to draw from so I'll do a Vcut.

Usually I'll make a small straight cut just to taste it then recut so I can draw more.

I use to fuck up my cigars cutting them too much so now I start small so they don't unravel.

I thought the cigar punches fucked up your cigars tho.

This is a general question to the thread, What type of Cuts or clips do u use on your cigars.. ??

I started with the Standard cutter then moved to the Cigar Punch. 3 months ago my bro put me on to the V-cutter I love that 2 . now it depends on the stick i smoke whether i choose the punch or V-cutter
The punch on the Bottom of my xikar...

There are a lot of great cigars out there. My favorites are the Oliva Serie V Melanio Figurado and the Padron 1964. I usually grab robustos because they smoke quicker and I don't always have an hour and a half to smoke. They are more potent though. As mentioned before, a great place to start is the mild-medium cigars. H Uppmann, Torano 1959 Exodus, Oliva Serie O, Flor De Las Antillas, Perdomo 20th Anniversary are all great medium smokes that I've tried. What I'm really enjoying now are the Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel. They are new and have a limited release. They are damn good though.

This thread is right on time. I am brand new to the cigar world for about a year now and I absolutely love them now. I ordered some Cubans from CubanCigars2U.com which I have smoked yet because I am trying my best to age them in my humidor.

Does anyone have experience with seasoning and aging humidors? I have 2 of them. One for real Cubans and one for other brands. I have wiped them lightly with distilled water, have humidifiers in both (each with filled with distilled water) and have sat them without any cigars in them for about 72 hours to get seasoned. For some reason I can't the hygrometer to read past 60-65 degrees.

I have heard 70 degrees is optimal for humidors.

Also some good places to buy cigars are Mikescigars.com, jrcigars.com and cigarpage.com.

Have you been opening your humidor to check the humidity? Did you calibrate your hygrometers to make sure that you're getting an accurate reading? By the way, the hygrometer measures humidity, but you're correct that 70% is supposed to be ideal. I prefer 68% though. When you wipe your humidor down, try leaving a shot glass full of distilled water in there as well.

When you're taking a draw, it is natural for people to not breathe thru their noses during that brief moment. Try eating something while pinching your nose. You'll notice that you don't get the full flavor. It is the same thing with cigars. My biggest tip, remember to breathe thru your nose when you draw to get more of the notes.

some people, eat a cracker or cheese,

I like to sip a glass of lime water, after a good meal

and before a cigar....

the crazy shit is, you will find out that, you can buy a box of cigars,
and all them muthafuckas will taste different..

the trick in to clean your palate..

some folks drink soda and shit.

but lime water does the trick for me..

How yall like your cigars??

mild, medium or full!!

I only fucks with medium or full..

Medium-full. Padrons and Oliva Serie V Melanio are full but they are closer to medium than being extremely full. If you want some sticks with strength try the Aging Room f55 quattro, the gurkha ghost, or Oliva Master Blend 3. Those are 3 that I've tried that are off the menu for me now because I got too f'ed up.

Do any of you Dudes dip the tip of your cigar in you cognac or whiskey / scotch ??

Never did that which end do you dip in the cognac?

So these are the Cohiba Cubans I got from the DR.

I had to go back and check to make sure they were the Cuban tobacco not the DR tobacco.

I thought girl in the cigar shop got me for a moment.

:smh: Dont do that :smh

I heard blowing cigar smoke through your nose allows you to take in more aromas but not everyone knows how .Its an art in itself !!! Its like almost swallowing the smoke before blowing it out .I suggest mild cigars if u want to try.

Its a very good book !!!!

You can go to Cigarbid.com. I must warn you though, cigar enthusiasts call it the devil site because it is addictive. I had to ween myself off of it. I bought a humidor, several torches and cutters, ashtray, and dozens of sticks off of that site. The prices can't be beat.
