If they were better co-parents maybe the move never happens or Ciara/Russ only live out of state during the season. Russell has money to have multiple homes just like Future. During the season the kid is with Future. Because of their poor communication skills, this option was likely never discussed.
The kid has a father that claims to want to be a part of his kids life. What Russell is doing is respectable high level, but my personal belief is step- parents should assist in the co-parenting process and avoid the dumb shit. As far as his kids go, Ciara was aware of his kids and chose to have her own by him. She is no more a victim than he is. She was a willing participant and now may be having buyers remorse.
