Car Models Dealers Can’t Sell | It’s Getting Worse Right Now

Honestly nowadays cars cost too much.
Yup and the blame is on this dealers as why people can't afford them today. Car payments are what mortgages used to be back in the day. Remember those tiktok videos of dealers trying to normalize $1000 car payments back in Covid? These dumbasses shot themselves in the foot. You don't have future customers if already gouged them and the cars you sold them 2-3 years ago are now way upside. Add to that banks aren't making loans over 100% loan to value like they did back in pandemic. In fact they are coming with 80% loan to value offers now which mean people need to make a down payment to make it work. The car market is fucked and I'm happy to see the shit tank and manufacturers and dealer come back to reality. Fuck em!

Calling bullshit on this list because the Lexus LS 500 should be on it. First quarter of this year, they sold less than 480 vehicles.

NEARLY 20% OF CAR BUYERS ELECTED FOR $1,000+ MONTHLY PAYMENTS IN Q2, REACHING RECORD HIGH

1 in 5 new car buyers take on $1,000 monthly payments

Capitalism is all fucked up. Not giving people enough money to play this game.
That's where they fucked up. Greed fucked up capitalism. Companies were stuffing their pockets bragging about record profits while every company was stiffing their employees. Now the chickens are coming home to roost because ain't nobody got no money because they haven't given anybody any money

You got to give people the money to spend the money. You got to give people the money to give back to you to put back into the system. If people don't have the money to buy other than exactly what they need then they will only buy exactly what they need.

It took a while for the system to collapse, but it's collapsing like a motherfucker. Nobody has the money for shit. Since like 1978 the CEO pay has skyrocketed while the worker pay has remained relatively stagnant.

The current minimum wage in Ohio is $10.70, it was $4.50 in 1995, 30 years ago. Are you telling me that the cost of living has just barely doubled over the past 30 years or is it more like times 10?

Yep. It's times 10 - at least. Eventually, people's money got funny and the credit just wouldn't get it

Overpriced cause their used to people coming to them with their pockets out and pants down....for the to sign on the dotted line either for overpriced car,a bad loan or both.

Agreed.

I drove my pops to pick up his new Toyota Tacoma in 2020. Summertime or so.

He's not one for small talk, and can't stand car dealers. I knew it would be a tense environment.

He had his certified bank check with him to pay that shit in full. Just before we departed the guy was trying to sugarcoat something.

Pops replied with some ICE COLD bgol streets type of response ... basically like "I am not your friend ... you're a glorified snake oil salesman ..."

Man, I was embarassed. I knew that was how he was gonna reply, lol.

:roflmao3: :frozen:
That generation of men gives zero fucks.

Tell me the ticket and I’ll tell you if I’m with it.

Straight to the point.

Agreed. That mentality of "Don't waste my time with pointless bullshit conversation" ...

Side note - he's always really respected trustworthy mechanics. If they're charging a reasonable / fair right and doing honest work, he's all about it. He'll give them plenty of repeat business moving forward, and recommend friends and family to them. I've been with him to a handful of places from the 90s into the 2010s ... he'll let them know - "This is my son. We like the work you're doing. We'll be sure to refer our friends here ..."

There's that handshake agreement. Do the right thing = get plenty of business for years to follow.

Flip side ... be some asshole in a suit trying to act slick = fuck you, man.

Yep and buying back their own stock instead of using the tax deductions to increase workers salaries

When I tell you I am revelling in watching America collapse due to the racism of White people. They fucked everybody trying to fuck us.

We could have had cheap or inexpensive college. We could have had universal health care. But white people didn't want to give it to us so nobody got it, and in fact, they increased how much we have to pay for college, now everybody's fucked.

Universal healthcare. You everlooked at the cost of treating a snakebite? A hospital bill after a snakebite can range from a few thousand to hundreds of thousands of dollars, depending on the severity of the bite, the type of treatment required (including antivenom), and whether insurance covers a portion of the costs. A significant portion of the cost is often attributed to antivenom, which can be very expensive.

And all because of capitalism and racism. Chicken's coming home to roost
