What dream car did you nearly pull the trigger on?

I have a Z06 too. The C8 tranny is trash. People make so many excuses but the shit is so bad that I see posts twice a week in the corvette groups where their shit crapped out the year they bought it. I have a dealer hitting me for a 2024 convertible for 70k. Has 1500 miles on it. But even under warranty, who wants to ride scared?

Well, I’m at a point in my life that I have owned all my dream cars, so I’m just chilling with my childhood dream vehicle now , a fat boy Range Rover , plus a Porsche Taycan for everyday use. I can’t think of any other car that I want. I’m waiting for the electric Range Rover and I’ll get that.

I agree. Why take on someone else's problem? If you or anyone buys the C8, most of them will be back in the stealership for maintenance or recalls.

People have had their cars up there awaiting repair or parts for over 4 months. You're right. They look good, but I don't want to roll the dice. I'll stick to my C7 Z06. I enjoy the looks, and I allow people to take pix next to it--IF they ask. LOL

Besides, it reminds me of when I first saw a stingray, and it caught my attention when I was about 9. It was the same C3 body style that Chris Tucker drove in the Rush Hour movies.

I was stationed at Ft. Carson, CO before leaving and this chick I was Fucking at the time there, had a neighbor with a 1971 Red Chevelle SS in mint condition for sell.

I can’t remember what he was asking but I had the funds. I was tempted to buy it but I didn’t have a place to live yet in NYC where I was returning too.

You gotta have a house with a large garage to park that mofo, you can’t leave it parked on the street, especially in NYC.

Also, you gotta have time to work on the thing. You can’t take it too a mechanic. It’s why you always see old retired mofos owning classic muscle cars.

I’m 54 now, still working but I still got my eye on getting one hopefully.

Was about to buy a used m3 back around 2000 until I walked into my insurance agent's office for a quote ..... walked right back to my 97 eclipse.

The more searches I do on the C8 the more I them being traded in at or before 3,000 miles. Tons of Z06’s have less than 500 miles and already either sold back or traded in. YouTube is saying a transmission issue on the 21-23 models, with a few saying the warranty jerked em around before eventually giving them a new transmission.
