I see so many ways for celebrities/companies to make money off Instagram streaming. You can do product placement/advertising while streaming by having different products placed in camera view. Cam keep drinking Pepsi and always had it in view. I hope Pepsi cut him a check.

I am sure Instagram is probably running servers in the cloud with AWS/Azure. If so, for people with large followings and what to live stream an event they can sell live bandwidth tiers. That will help with the buffering by offering them guaranteed bandwidth. Some of this stuff is probably in practice already. I know Instagram celebrities get paid to hawk products on the Gram by taking pics with products.
