Cam Newton is a Tier 3 QB - barely "startable".

Shit, that transcends race. The Brown's owner passed up Carr for Manziel. All these football guys want their own guys. They want guys who they think can help them win.

Trust me, I've watched one team go through so many regimes it isn't even funny. And the problem is that each one wants its own guys -- whether black or white.

Not denying racism exists in the league, but its further down on the list these days.

At every position but QB we agree
otherwise it wouldn't be either starting or out of the lead for black qb's

A lot of black QBs are coached wrong since an early age, that's the elephant in the room folks don't want to address. That playmaker shit doesn't last long in the NFL, but can dominate high school and college.

Meanwhile, a lot of white QBs are taught the game right from an early age. There's a reason why some QB turn to other positions to maintain in the league but it isn't the other way around.

Rivers is the direct reason his team didn't make they playoffs.

:cmonson:

Thread became about the writer's and who they pick and choose to slam and who they choose to give unlimited passes to for me because it's the same thing.
.

Some White boys give unlimited passes for White Qb as Some of yall give unlimited passes to Black Qbs.... Awful is Awful to me I don't care what race the QB is...

Cam played like a Tier 2 1/2 Qb this year and fucked up my fantasy team

They coming for Cam. I don't know if he can be there if they have another bad season.

But the concept of right and wrong is the problem. Their is no "the right way"
Every part of the game has evolved but they hold onto old boy standards when it comes to QBs which makes absolutely no sense.
Plus the entire concept of black qbs not being able to read defenses is straight up trash and gets tagged to black qbs while it is never questioned in their white counterparts

He is.
Over the last 7 weeks of this season Phillip Rivers had 14 interceptions and 6 fumbles lost.
Over the same period of time the chargers defense was ranked #2 In the NFL
Now why did they go 2-5 over this 7 game stretch?
When say, they lost to Miami by 7 points in a game he threw 4 interceptions in....

14 ints and 14 TDs with an awful O line and no running game while facing 5 good defenses out of 7 teams and having the number 2 defense over a period of facing 1 good offensive team Oakland Carr with an injured finger isn't saying much....see you can say anything to make your point. Phillip Rivers had an Average season stat wise. Cam was mediocre

There is a 'right' way. The QB position doesn't really gain from size, strength, and speed advantages like other positions. Therefore, the pocket game needs to be taught early on. It's not just about reading defenses, it's about not panicking. It's a gradual process which is why you don't move people to QB, but you move QB to other positions.

It's not the fault of white owners that black QBs are being mismanaged by everyone from their pop warner coaches/grade school coaches to high school coaches, to the blood suckers who recruit them to further their own programs.

And guess what? Players will only be faster and stronger 15 years from now. Film study we be much better. You better have had that shit drilled in your head since you were 6 to compete.

Remember everything that was given up to draft RG3? Remember Cam was a number 1 pick? These white folks will draft a black QB. They will trade for and sign one. It's about winning and green first and foremost these days.

See how in the face of a dude who had 14 interceptions and 9 fumbles you found a way to blame everyone but him for the reason they're not in the playoffs when it's kinda clear if he just had maybe thrown 7 interceptions and fumbled 4 times instead of nine they might've been able to beat teams like the fucking browns lol

it's all good man

But it does though lol that's why taller quarterbacks are always drafted- size- and the guys with more "arm talent" are taken higher and prototypical right?
And you do move people to QB Tannehill was a fucking WR that they said we want to be our qb.
They don't move BLACK people to QB sure.

And it only ADDS a dimension to the danger when your qb has the athleticism to do other things. If your QB can stand tall in the pocket AND when your offensive line breaks down take a broken play and run it 90 yards for a touchdown that's better than a dude who would just take a sack no?

Wasn't Gordon there for at least 4 of those games? He had good season. You can't tell me RiverS wasn't awful this year. He had to have at least 6 multi turnover games.

The game is using the movement to create room to throw. That's just the real world. It's using movement to throw the ball away. That's just the preferable way to do things against the monsters on the field. Against the film game.

We just need better coaching of our young players in their earlier years. Have to make sure they go to the right colleges to hone their skills. And best believe, there will be and RG3 and Cam in every fucking draft. Someone cac owners, coaches, and GMs want.

I did blame him along with everyone else...Rivers played average like I said...and his stats say....Cam is 8 tds 7 Ints over the finals 7 games with a lower QBR and Comp %.

Gordon missed the last 3 games and rushed for 5 yards the last game he played and a high of 70 yards...

Rivers didn't have an awful season Top 5 in yards and Top 4 in Touchdowns. His INT's made his season average.

Which is GREAT I can accept that and actually agree with that. But you see how the slant in the media is different?
This article isn't about how they didn't draft offense to help or how the defense fell of the tracks and went to shit it's all about Cam like he is the sole reason they're sitting at home and that's my only problem
If this article said Cam had a down year and here are the multiple reasons why the team didn't perform... I'd just agree. But that would never happen. And my problem is the people we are supposed to trust- football journalist- will sit there and write this piece about Cam Newton - justifiably or unjustifiably- and not say a single freaking word about someone like Phillip Rivers who had 30 turnovers from the QB position and they weren't winning when Gordon was being fucking unbelievable out there- you know how much he was putting up fantasy wise every week
Or another dude in Carson Palmer who's defense ended the season rated #1 with David Johnson- again you played fantasy you know what his stats were every single game..

Not really because there are multiple instances where the gold standard- Aaron Rodgers uses his athleticism to escape outside of the pocket to buy time and make unbelievable throws. He sits in the pocket when it's possible and when it's not he is out of there. There is value in it for quarterbacks extreme value.

I'm honestly sick of all the race shit in sports :smh: I watch some dudes play a game and move on

Believe me I wish this didn't exist

That's what I just said. Maybe I shouldn't have used the term pocket. But in terms of throwing the ball, movement is developed to do so. Either down the field or out of play.

Basically, it seems like white QBs tend to be raised to run across the line of scrimmage as the very last resort. Where a lot of black QBs are brought up to be playmakers and just to run -- often by design. General terms of course, but it's a problem we need to address at the youth level.

He fucked up trying to play the middle ground. I guess he thought that would make them ease off of him. They are punishing him for being better than Tebow and Luck.

Right the pocket isn't the right term in this instance and the latest crop of qb's if given a chance to develop could actually do that lol
I mean if they cold fail for 3 years straight and take their lumps and then NOT lead a team to the playoffs while they mature and then turn the corner I'm sure pretty much every recent black qb that was drafted could do that...
but they're always auditioning. Newton literally just coming off an MVP season where he led the team to the super bowl and we already here in journalist land

Cam doesn't make WR's better. Brady and Aaron Rodgers put up amazing numbers with 2's 3's and 4's the one year Brady had a 1 Moss...:eek2:

Tedd Ginn Jr finished the season as his WR1. Tedd Ginn Jr. Rodgers' WRs have alway been better than Cam's. Jordy Nelson is one of the best WRs in the league.

Rivers completed +60% 4k yards and 33 tds..

Eli +60% 26 tds 4k yards and is in the playoffs

Cant wear blinders just cuz you like a guy. Cam had a poor season

No...not poor. You can throw all the stats you want but Cam is not that big of a reason why this team isn't in the playoffs. Unlike Kirk Cousins who literally threw his chances at a playoff breath away

The Whole team played a part in missing the playoffs Cam is included in that.
