Bulls fans assemble

Maybe the Butler trade was not so one sided as originally thought:yes:. Still can't wait to see what they look like once Zach gets his feet wet.

I know he's the jewel of the trade but he may have to come off the bench. Y'all in too good of a groove to shift things around too much for his return

7 wins in a row. gone fuck around and go from a lottery team to a 8th seed.
If Levine comes back and looks the same or better, then imho, we won in that Jimmy Butler trade. Cause Dunn has been great.

8-2 over last 10 games. Only team with a better record over the last 10 games are the Warriors @ 9-1.

We aint winning no title, but we got some great young talent.

Nikola has broken out as well. Seems like Bobby almost knocking his eye out knocked some skill into him.

Btw....
Dunn is still NICE at the point!

BULLS!!!!!!!!

We win again. And Dunn had another great game. Career high 30+ points. He was already a great defender. But now he's putting up points as well. Making of a GREAT two way PG.

I may be in the minority here ...but when u look back to what we got via the Butler trade (Dunn, Lauri and Zach). I think we came out on top. Dunn and Lauri alone have improved the Bulls more than Butler has improved the Timberwolves. And thats just my opinion. I think Zach will come back and be the same 20+ a game/athletic guy. Plus, all three of the young guys we got have low mileage...compared to Butler, who's almost 30 and getting high mins again under Tibbs.

Peculiar situation to be in. Do y'all go for the playoffs or trade guys for the tank?

Trade and tank. Cause the narrative before this year started was to rebuild, but these young boys on our team are balling hard and actually winning/over achieving. We're actually the hottest team in the NBA over the last couple of weeks.

If we dont trade, we're gonna fuck around and be a 7th or 8th seed. Trade guys like Nikola (cause he's having a career year right now) Trade Lopez (he's a talented big that can be used for a playoff team). Trade a few other guys who are playing great. Like Justin Holiday. Then got back into tank mode. Keep Dunn, Zach, Lauri etc.

For the record....I in no way encourage tanking....but we have to think realistically here. Add a great high draft pick to what you have and you'll be in a great spot. Draft late and keep what u got...and youll more than likely stay in the middle of the pack.

I agree Nikola should be moved and Lopez too. The Bulls would be in better shape going into next season. Getting a high pick should be the priority with the deep class coming out next year.

Beat the Knicks in 2OT. This was actually a great ass game. Lauri was balling his ass off. White boy is GOOOOD! Dunking on mofos and shit (4:54). Needs to work on his defense more. He had trouble with Pozingus tho.

Bulls have had a lot of entertaining games this year.

Zach supposed to come back this weekend. Him playing helps more than hurts....imho. Which means a trade is SURELY coming soon; To secure that top 10 draft pick!

BULLS!!!!!!!!

This mofo can SHOOT!!

Btw...we won again today vs the Heat. Break their 7 game win streak.

Zach has played two games so far, and yeah....the boy is looking GOOD!!

Trade for draft picks coming soon.........

BULLS!!!!!!!!

The Bulls have until next Thursday to trade Mirotic. He almost went to the Pelicans and they was going to send Asik and a 1st round pick but it fell through. The Bulls are in good position to return to respectability. It will not take as long as #daprocess is taking.

Problem with things is that Mirotic has a no trade clause and he isn't waiving it without his option for year 2 being picked up which the Pelicans weren't cool with doing.

The trade went through. The Bulls send Nikola Mirotic and a 2nd round pick to the Pelicans for Omer Asik, Tony Allen, Jameer Nelson and a 1st round pick. The Bulls are expected to waive Tony Allen and Jameer Nelson.

Now all they have to do is package Robin Lopez and Justin Holiday and the Bulls can get back to tanking.

last i heard we're keeping jameer unless he requests a buyout, he could be a good mentor to dunn and solid back up

Good trade for us. Why? 1st, we had too many PFs. Lauri, Bobby, Nikola etc. Out of the three, two are shooters. Lauri & Nikola. One is younger and overall a better player, Lauri, so Nikola is the odd man out. Bobby is more energetic/athletic than Nikola as well. Great guy to have coming off your bench. Or even starting from time to time. Trading Nikola also puts us back into tank mode. Also saves us money (only 3 mill guaranteed to Osik, instead of the 12 that Nikola was entitled to, other two guys may be waived) The Pelicans will suck, but not suck so bad that theyll get a 1-5 pick. So the Bulls MAY luck up on a future 6-12 pick via the trade.

Pelicans also got a good player in return. Win/Win for all involved, imho.

didnt win....but this was nice!

7th worst record in the NBA. Making another trade soon. Which will probably make us lose more; as planned by Paxton and crew.

BULLS!!!!!!

Zach and them ruined Butlers return to Chicago

Btw.....the win didnt hurt us.
As of right now...we're still a lottery team.
Between 1-8

Yes Lopez must be moved. Bulls should be able to get a late first round pick for him.

Didnt move him...which is strange.

Lopez is only 29, and is actually a good Center.

After next year he's a UFA. So im sure the Bulls will trade him next year, IF, they get a good big Man via the draft or FA.

Lavine looks like he is going to be a baller. I still don't trust GarPax tho!

Win vs the Mavs last night, but dont worry, we're still on track for a lottery pick. Currently at 8

Ive typed a lot about Lauri, Dunn and Zach. But not enough about Bobby. Bobby reminds me of Noah when he's on the floor. But he shoots better.
The Bulls made a great decision when they traded Nikola and kept Bobby.

Bobby has always showed potential. Great off the bench. But now they plan to start him for a few games to see how he responds.
Should be interesting!

BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!

Bobby Portis AKA Mr. Mean.

Yeah is is playing good ball. The Bulls process >> 76ers process.

Got caught in the act of tanking.....

Reports: NBA warns Chicago Bulls about resting healthy players

The NBA issued a warning to the Bulls about resting healthy players Robin Lopez and Justin Holiday, according to multiple reports. Following the dialogue between Chicago and the league office, the Bulls agreed to play both Lopez and Holiday more extensively during the last month of the season, per Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.

Lopez has missed the last six games, while Holiday has sat out the last five of six. Bulls executive vice president John Paxson confirmed the team spoke with the league office in a statement as reported by the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson.

"After the All-Star break, we had communication with the league office about Robin and Justin's roles," Paxson said. "After healthy dialogue, the league determined that their situations fall into the 'player rest' policy. We respect the communication and cooperative dialogue with the league and will adhere to their recommendations going forward."

The league recently said in a memo that "tanking" will result in swift punishment if evidence of purposefully trying to lose games was found. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was fined $600,000 for publicly stating his team is better off losing their matchups.

Bulls supposedly going after Jabari Parker. But dont really matter.
LBJ is FINALLY out the East.
Get ready to buy your Bulls playoffs tickets next year

Bulls' Wendell Carter Jr. could be best big in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- Duke product Wendell Carter Jr. was the last of the five big men taken in the first seven picks of this year's NBA draft. So far during the NBA summer league in Las Vegas, however, Carter perhaps has been the best of the group. His game looks to translate well to the modern NBA.

Nearly the full complement of Carter's skills was on display Wednesday during the Chicago Bulls' 95-83 win over the Dallas Mavericks in the opening round of summer tournament play. Carter finished with 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting, pulling down nine rebounds and handing out two assists as the Bulls outscored Dallas by 22 points in his 30 minutes of action.

Let's start at the defensive end, the strength of Carter's game right now. Chicago is comfortable switching Carter on anyone, even point guards, and he has more than held his own on those plays. On one sequence during the second half Wednesday, he stayed with Dallas guard Josh Adams and forced a double dribble.

The downside of using Carter to switch pick-and-rolls is that it takes him away from the basket, where he's proved to be an excellent rim protector. Though Carter had no blocks on Wednesday, he's still averaging 2.8 blocks per game in four summer appearances, putting him among the leaders in Las Vegas and tops among this year's lottery picks -- ahead of more heralded shot blocker Mohamed Bamba, the sixth pick.

i like the jabari signing, team option for yr 2 if he can stay healthy then a long term deal with injury protection for the team like we did with Lavine contract, our starting five is young and talented from 1-5
PG - Dunn
SG- Lavine
SF- Parker
PF - Markkanen
C- Carter

get something for lopez and felicio and get them outta here

portis holiday and valentine off the bench

C- Carter

Yeah..the reason I posted those Carter vids is because out of all the big Men in the last draft, he was the best DEFENSIVELY.

The knock against both Jabari and Lavine is their defense. Having guys like Kriss Dunn and Carter (who are both great on defense) and then having young guys who are developing their defense, but great on offense (Lauri, Zach and Jabri) this creates good balance.

The good thing is all of these guys have youth to stand behind. Lots of time to develop into more well rounded players. And like I stated before, none of them have contracts that will hurt the Bulls long term, so if they dont fit in, get rid of them, open more cap space, and try again via 2019 or 2020 FA. If they decide to let Jabari go after next year, theyll have over 40 mill to play around with in 2019 FA. even with Zach still on the books!

Im not longer apathetic... Thats a good thing. At the very least the team is interesting again. Playoff push perhaps, but still lightyears away from competing. But hey, Ill tune in.

Not a fan of Duke players but I think Jabari will be an all here shortly, and seeing carter play here in atlanta, i really like his demeanor, almost not quite but kinda reminds me of timmy d, just goes and gets the job done i think he will be a slightly better horford here shortly and that's not even his ceiling, i also think he will be the better pro out of he and bagley
