Apparently the front office is targeting Nash, and Kidd to hold the fort for the 2012-13 season with D. Rose out.

I'd prefer Nash but I don't understand how we could balance them two out once Derrick comes back. Derrick is too small to run the 2 in the east against the likes of Wade, George, Shumpert, Allen, and other bigger 2 guards. So I'd prefer we just run with Kidd and upgrade our 2 spot to assist him.

I'd try to trade with either Sacramento for Evans, or maybe try to get Eric Gordon from the hornets.

Any suggestions?

Rose isn't to small for Wade or Shumpert but might have to work on stregnth.

But he also poses a matchup problem for them with his quickness,as log as he doesn't lose any.

The real reason he can't play the two now is he doesn't shoot well enough.

Kidd won't be in the league to much longer nor will Nash be.

The real issue is that with either the Bulls would need to get a pure scorer because neither of them really are but I think Nash moreso than Kidd.

The have to replace Roses 20+ per game and that should be the priorty. They could get a servicable point guard as long as they get someone who can score off the hop and can create their own shots and of course hit them.

He's not as strong as Shumpert, and not even close to Wade in strength. We do need to replace his 20 ppg, but it can't be at the 1 spot because then you'd have problems when Rose gets back. It has to be a SG. Rose should be back by ASG so he needs to be slowly worked back in for the playoffs. But if you bring Nash then what do u do tell him come off the bench? Doesn't make sense.

We need to get one of the following

Granger
Gordon
Mayo
Young
Smith
Iguodala

Whatever happens we need to upgrade the SG position

I was thinking Mayo then Smith.

You won't get Gordon

Granger needs medication.

Iggy is okay but not an upgrade shooting the ball

I agree and was not talking about getting a scoring point guard.in fact i was against nash or kidd because of the money they would want.

You can get a serviciable point and spend the money of a scoring two.

Im in the complete overhaul camp. Jettison Deng in a trade for Gasol. Use Noah and assets like expiring contracts/draftpicks/Mirotic(from Europe) to secure a stud SG or SF. As much as I want to think we could have won it all this year, DRose cant do it alone. Gasol and say an OJ Mayo/Eric Gordon would be a better and more balanced team with players other than Rose who can carry the scoring load. Damn I wish it was really this simple but these moves aren't too far away from being possible.

rose is a 1 he averaged 8 assists a game in limited action

the bulls need consistent young scorers period. if they have those then the bulls will be ok.

it showed that without him the team is just ok because nobody else can really create a shot...and the defense has to key on him which gets everyone open

they just aren't consistent.

i don't like kidd or nash for the bulls at all.

Kidd is def out of the question. I think Nash would have a possibility of working only because he can still score in isolation situations and also can shoot the 3ball. You would be undersized in the back court but it COULD work. Its not ideal in any way though because I dont want DRose having to guard shooting guards at all.

I wouldn't want to see Evans or Gasol in a Bulls uniform.

I think Evans would certainly not be a good fit because he needs the ball in his hands to be effective and he does not have a reliable three point shot like say a Steve Nash. If he somehow could become a 35percent 3point shooter and you combine that with his size and ball handling ability, you would have a perfect back court mate for Rose.

Gasol's main problem was Kobe and his time is up in LA. I think he has enough game left to be a 19 and 11 player for the last two years of his contract. As long as he is playing outside of LA and for a contender contender. Cant stand Boozer but Gasol's low post game and Boozer's mid range/high post game would be a perfect match.

Im on the overhaul bandwagon too. I felt this was our year because next season is gonna be tough at the top. MIA, Indiana, NYC will be so much better next season and have better players on the come up than we do.

I like Noah, and would like to keep him, but I understand hed be a throw in for any upgrade we get. I just hope if we do trade him its for a star, not just another "decent" player at a spot we need. Same goes for Deng, but hes the only real trade bait we have along with Noah. Were against the cap, so we cant go sign anyone, and our draft pick is gonna suck. Realistically were just gonna have to ride it out being just another team for awhile because I dont see any help coming via trade that wouldnt hurt the team in other areas...

I heard the Bulls were also interested in Andre Miller, Jason Terry, and Shannon Brown.

I was just getting ready to post this... Out of the potential guards available, A Miller fits the Bulls needs better than all of them, because he's a PGs PG and he would seamlessly blend into the backup role once D Rose is ready.... Nash, he needs to be on the Floor to make sense, and him and Rose together would negate each other as both need to be in control of the ball to be effective...

I've been riding with A Miller since his Utah days, one of the last of the great pure PGs in the league...

Here's what I think will happen:

We'll scoop either Mayo or Miller, and then either Ray Allen or Jason Terry, with our 2 million & 5 million exception money

CJ will be back and be our 3rd string point when Rose comes back.

Brewer's gone. Kyle's a toss up.

Asik will probably get a better deal somewhere else and we can't be giving him a big money, 4-5 year contract. We only need him to hold it down until we get Nikola. We might do a sign-and-trade on Asik for a 2 guard.

We draft a big man.

Boozer's not going anywhere because dropping his contract will only keep us under the luxury tax for a year, we still won't have any money to spend. He probably won't be amnestied until the last year of his contract.

I think the rest of the team will stay the same.

And how exactly do you intend on acquiring these players especially when Reinsdorf would prefer not to go over the luxury tax and definitely doesn't want to be a repeat luxury tax offender even if he does?

Thing is that our draft pick may not suck. This draft is deep with SGs so we should be able to get one. Right now the most realistic options from the draft are Orlando Johson of UCSB, Doron Lamb from Kentucky and John Jenkins from Vanderbilt. Jenkins could at the least take Korver's spot.

Trades, we have players that we can trade. Deng has good value, and I hear the Warriors are eying him, Granger, or Iggy. We could get the number 7 pick and draft Beal if he falls to us....There are a lot of things we can do this offseason especially with Korver, Brewer, and a couple other players coming off the cap.

Deng's trade value may be lower with his injury and him holding off the operation. And if you trade Deng who takes his spot? Butler? I like Beal but most draft projections have him going between 3 and 5. And even though Korver and Brewer are likely to come off the cap we still have to deal with Asik and then with Taj. Right now it looks like if anything it'll be about the exemptions though I heard a guy give a good case for amnestying Boozer now as opposed to next year.

is kenyon martin a free agent after dis season over?? i kinda like how he was playing at the end of the year..if he would take the vet minumim i think he could be a nice fit for the bulls especially dat he's an aggressive finisher something dat the bulls lack as far as most of our big men go

No LOL...

Where's The Deron Williams BGOL Cat That Averaged A Double-Double For 2 Seasons Str8 That knows damn near errethang bout the league...Killasaddam/kadafi or somethin??

This shit true, bruhbruh??

-texting with Crown Royal Black and Vault citrus

Does he concur with what u sayin??

I think the Bulls are also looking at Mayo and Beasley. If Beasley comes here, Thibs will make Beasley into a much better player.

They may also be looking at Eric Gordon, but they're not getting him.

I'm sure GarPax are looking for a sucker to take Boozer so they can replace him with Nikola. I'm almost positive Boozer won't be here next year. Jerry Reinsdorf isn't amnestying him.

Also

The Bulls will go after Dwight.
Trust me, they are not passing up a Rose/Howard combo.
If the Bulls can include Boozer in the deal and take Turkoglu's contract with Dwight, I'd say do it. The Laker's will try to cock-block but I believe they fucked up. I don't think Orlando want's Bynum.

EDIT:
I've also heard a rumor a while back that the Bulls are looking at this Russian dude Alexey Shved:

We don't need Nash or Kidd. Especially not Nash he doesn't play defense. The team is fine we just need a scorer. That's something we needed even with Rose.

True but with our cap situation we have no way to get it. We have to make trades, our best pieces are Deng, Booz, and I hate to say it but Noah. If we can trade Noah and keep Asik it's a lateral move as much as I did Noah the personality, he seems to have reached his ceiling he's a 10/10/1.5 guy. I honestly think that can be replaced by Asik.

Boozer despite what we think does have good value, he is a 20/10 guy it's just we fell apart in the post season. If Gasol has value then I know Booz does.

Deng is still valued because despite his surgery his injury isn't a career altering thing, his game is and always will be great defense and spot shooting. He will be fine by next season, teams know that.

We probably gotta take some bad contracts in return for Boozer, I heard someone say if it's D12 we'd have to take Turks contract, I'd be fine with that.

GS would probably give us, Richard Jefferson with that number 7 pick. Imho if San Antonio only had to give up George Hill to get Khawi Leonard we can give up Deng/Watson (whom they are eying) for number 7 and probably RJ or Dorrell Wright.

Hill was traded for a mid 1rst round pick that turned out to be Leonard. I think that the Pacers thought he would help there record be better than it was that season when they were an 8th seed. There is a difference between that trade which was motivated by making a playoff run and trading a lottery pick where you know where you're slotted. Besides it seems like Jefferson is winding down his career.
Why a team would trade for Boozer is beyond me and the Bulls would have to take one back which they wouldn't be able to amnesty. As for Deng he may have more value when he's going into the last year of his deal and he probably won't be ready for the start of next season since he intends on playing in the Olympics.

we are going to be straight.

only team we have to matchup with is NYC.

heat ass they will break up big 3 next year.

boston pension bout to kick in.

don't add anymore cacs.

get sloan in 2014 when rose is 100%.

and we have a shumpert and wade stopper with butler.

we HAVE to scoop up one of memphis bigs zbo or MARC gasol.

thats it.

no hinrich no nash no kidd no cacsssssssssssssssss

if only the bulls will go the bears route and get rid of john paxson

we would be a whole lot better.

i rather go after tony parker if yall wanna get a guard to hold the fort till pooh come back.

but i don't want no players who are over 25 added to this roster at all.

The Bulls held workouts over the last wek or so. Here's who they invited in
1st group: Will Barton, Jared Cunningham, John Jenkins, Doron Lamb, Tanner Smith, Hollis Thompson
2nd group: J'Covan Brown, Tu Holloway, Fab Melo, Josh Owens, Robert Sacre, Tony Wroten
Draymond Green, Andrew Nicholson, Scott Machado

Sacre seems like a guy they would want if Asik leaves. The first group is all swingmen though Smith is the only guy out of that group who if anything would be an undrafted free agent pickup. Most people don't expect Melo or Wroten to have much of a chance to slip down to the Bulls so they might have to move up to get either.

Why Paxson? He doesn't even handle the personnel decisions anymore.
