Bulls fans assemble

We are going into the 19th season since the GOAT's jumper over Russell and the more I think about the state of this franchise the more I realize they are still living off the glory of the 90s and the Jordan/Pippen 6 title years. The Bulls have made a shit load of terrible draft picks, bad coaching moves and have been in ONE conference final since 1998. But the UC is still sold out and Reinsdorf is making it hand over fist. I have no excite about the Wade deal especially seeing how just the week before the team was looking for some "young talent". This ship is rudderless IMO and with Tim Floyd 2.0 on the sidelines it won't get any better.

Bobby Portis balling in the first summer league game. Looking like a Young Garnett. But he actually started showing growth last year. Once Taj is traded, he should get most of the mins at PF or Center (if Nikola turns into Dirk).

Im not worried about Bobby, Dude is gonna be fine. Worse case hes a younger, more athletic Taj. I need Mcbuckets to turn into Gordon Heyward, and Valentine to turn into baby Pippen for me to have any faith that this team can be anything in the future.

...and the bulls are gonna do what this year?

I'll wait.

Not a damn thing. Now point me in the direction where a Bulls fan expects otherwise???... I'll wait... But you're right. The season is always entertaining when Knick fans think they have a chance...

Point me in the direction where Knicks fans expect anything different than Bulls fans.

I'm here to hear the spin doctors rhetoric.
I cant wait to hear the excuses.

The youngsters are undefeated in the Summer league.
They play Tom Tibbys new team for the Summer league title later today.

Every player has shined at one point or another, but I'll only address the players who'll more than likely make the team.

Bobby has shined the most. Reminds me of when Jimmy shined in the Summer league and then had a great followup season. I can actually see Bobby being a 12 and 10 guy off the bench.

Valentine has a lot to learn. He's started off slow damn near every game, but he picked up steam as the games went along; Defensively and offensively. Once he gets his feet wet, he'll be good. He has potential.

Felicio looks good offensively....but he has lapses on defense.

Dinwinddle has looked decent (mainly on offense). Last time I read about him the Bulls waived him to make room for Wades contract. I guess they'll give him another shot to save his career.

Grant has looked good.If he gets solid mins at the point, he should be able to exploit a lot of the starting PG's in the league because of his size

The end of the summer league title game was fucking crazy; nice job Bulls.

Just made a post on FB about it too!!! If there's a trophy involved that shit counts!!!

Portis and Valentine looked nice all league, so did Grant and the Brazilian dude looked like he can be serviceable; is light on his feet and halfway decent around the rim as a rebounder particularly on the offensive end. Still remains to be seen how much ANY of them see the ball though I imagine the latter two will definitely be coming off the bench.

didnt know he could opt out next season. Should be interesting.
Will he end his career here, or save the Bulls some cash for the next FA and leave?
:dunno:

Very professional guy.
Kept it real during his intro.
Looking forward to next year.

BULLS!!!!!!!

Hard to believe that Basketball is just a little over 3 weeks away because we're still early in football season

Didnt see the game yesterday. Here are some highlights.

BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First thing Monday morning, we're getting Michael Carter Williams for Tony Snell.

Good trade IMO. MCW, although not the 3pt threat that we need, seems like he still has some upside, while Snell has appeared to have peaked.

Ive always like MCW. Cant shoot for shit, but hes long, rangy and athletic enough. Always seems to be able to the the rack despite his lack of a J. If hes the starter after Rondo Id be ok with that. Hell it aint like Snell was anything worth holding on to.

A lot of guys looked good in our first win on the season vs Boston. But Imma need to see us play when the 3s aint falling to see what we really got.

Pacers tonight......

Didnt see the game..so i dont have much to type.

Its early, but we're already a top ten offense. Havent been able to say that about my Bulls in yeeaaarrsss. Our defense ranks somewhere in the middle.

Wade talked about how the Bulls wanted to improve their defense after that lack luster effort vs the Knicks. So it was good to see them shut down the Magic tonight.

Taj has looked good since he got pushed into the starting line up. He schooled Ibaka ass a few times tonight.

I like what im seeing from Canaan and Doug this year. Theyve been doing good things coming off the bench. I hope they get Bobby more involved.

Jimmy been in beast mode since Rose got shipped off.

So far the team looks good (mainly on offense) but our defense is still a work in progress. Imho, we could have more wins, but the Bulls have Wade on a minute restriction. Not having wade means we're missing almost 20 points per game. Once we get more consistency from other players (not named Wade and Butler), then we'll be good!!

Next game should be interest...

Tuesday @ Blazers

BULLS!!!!!!!!

Bulls (7-4): 113
Portland (7-5): 88

Dominated Lillard and them boyz out the gate!!

Offense surely aint a issue for us this year. Butler, Wade & Rondos chemistry has been great so far. Butler is able to get his 25+ per game and Wade is still able to get his 20 without colliding. Too bad Rose and Butler could never build together. Also sad that we couldnt get Butler and Wade together when Wade was still in his prime.

Rondo was out today with an ankle sprain. Jerian Grant took his place and balled his ass off! On Offense and defense (5 steals). Thats one of the reasons why we got off to a good start tonight. Fyi, Jerain Grant was a high draft pick by the Wizards, but we got him via that trade with the "we look better on paper than we do the court" Knicks. I saw glimpses of his talent when he came off the bench in NY (also when he got pushed into the starting lineup late last season). With more playing time he has the potential to be a good player.
