So now that Miami is out the picture....do you all feel the Cav are a easy team to get past???? Bosh was a big issue for us other than LEbon....but he's no longer there......and Cavs aint got a PF like him...AS OF YET.

I heard the Bulls can get both Pau and Melo. Of course Melo wouldn't get the max in that scenario.
getting the max from the bulls was never a realistic possibility anyway...if chi gets gasol and melo is serious about wanting to win...then he goes to chicago
I have mixed feelings on the possible signing of gasol
ya an outright signing of gasol rules melo completely out...gasol would be a nice addition but not enough imo to make them serious contenders

They say we're doing a S&T for Gasol with the throwaway contract guys like Brewer, Amundson, Dunleavy which will equal about 9 mil, then that still leaves Boozer and Mirotic who we can give to New York for Melo in a S&T. We just gotta divy up our future picks.
We can get Gasol and Melo. All Melo gotta do is say he wants to come here.

Why would they give up Mirotic if he's truly coming to play this year? If he's the second coming of Kukoc like some say, I wouldn't give that away.

Either Taj or Mirotic have to go.
If it works with Mirotic, I don't see why we wouldn't ship him.
Mirotic might be something like a big deal in Spain playing with the Euros, but over here, I don't think that shit's going to be a smooth transition.
If thats the case then we shouldnt even entertain gasol, why not keep taj and just ease the euro into the game? If we can get stephenson then id be fine with a core of d rose, lance, butler, taj/mirotic, and noah. That leaves us with a all defense team with 2 20ppg scorers and inside scoring with the euro and taj/noah. Its looking like melo aint coming. And that nigga better not talk about winning a chip after passing up chicago
Gasol + whoever else we sign is still an upgrade over Boozer
And if we don't get Melo (which is what its starting to look like), we're keeping Mirotic anyway

Age is irrelevant with Gasol...imho....because he's still a good player....as long as you utilize him correctly.

1) When he played for the Lakers in the West (which has more talent/talented big Men) he was putting up almost 20 per game. That was over the age of 30. In the East ....he should have a field day most nights. IF TOM TIBBY DOESNT PLAY HIM 40 MINS A GAME.
3) He's in the top 5 as far as big Men who can pass; Noah being in the top 5 as well. Consistent scorer and a good passer .....upgrade over what we had in Boozer. On a pass happy team like the Bulls...he'd fit in perfectly.
3) Long body....He can block shots, but is a liability on defense when compared to players like Noah & Taj. But when u look at it, the Bulls only have a handful of INDIVIDUAL great defenders (Butler, Noah and Taj). For the most part our #1 ranked defense is more so of a team effort.
4) They singed him to Mentor Euro player Nikola Mirotic. This is one of the BIG reasons why they signed him. Even tho Nikola was the best player in Europe, more than likely he'll come off the bench, but in about 1-3 years, he'll end up replacing Gasol or get more mins than Gasol in the starting line up.
5) The Bulls arent done yet with FA. SO this isnt the finished product.
Imho......depending on how Rose looks, this team can beat every team in the East. Unless the Cavs get Love...then I dont know.
My only concern is if we make it to the Finals and then run into a team like the Spurs, OKC, Clippers etc. Are these moves enough to beat one of those teams??
