Easier said than done, social media is a big influence with these kids. They not trying to hear eat your vegetables. Get good grades in school so you can go to college. Like T.I & Tiny with King they have a mind of their own.

I could not imagine being happy while not having a relationship with any of my kids. I couldn't imagine "disowning" any of my kids outside of a handful of true evil and terrible actions. I think its important to fight for Fathers to have some custody and influence on our kids. If their mental narrative is only shaped by the Mother's perspective, it might be inaccurate and harmful. It is hard to change an adult's narrative that he/she formed throughout the childhood.

I never believed in naming a child after me. Because I always thought either that child is going to do something to out do me or that child is going to fuck my name up. My cousins son when he committed strong armed robbery the first thing he said was "that boy fucked my name up".
