Ciara's son with rapper Future is legally a Wilson ... 'cause TMZ has learned the singer added Russell Wilson's last to her eldest son's legal name.

ICYMI ... Ciara and Russ hit the US Open this week with their kids -- but when Russ posted a shot of Ciara and their family from the stands with the caption, "Mrs. @ciara Wilson Future Wilson & Sienna Wilson," fans zeroed in on the fact Future Zahir's last name was written as "Wilson" ... sparking speculation Russell had adopted him

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Ciara has full custody of her 11-year-old, and "Wilson" was legally added to his name a few years back. He still has his dad Future's last name Wilburn in his full legal name.

Ciara and Russ -- married 9 years, parents to 3 other kids -- looked all smiles courtside. As for Future ... he's stayed quiet, though the last time Ciara was asked about their co-parenting situation, she couldn't help but laugh.

I worked on some marketing things with them and know them well. The kid wanted to change his name and ask Rus if it was ok if he shared his name.

I think it’s cool because he has brother and sisters. Future for some reason don’t really fuck with his son. Their is no bad feelings from the son about Future.

Very legal. Usually needs both parents consent but if the 1 can show a valid reason as to why the other parents consent isn't needed (deadbeat ass nigga).

Courts also consider kids age and wishes. That kid is old enough to know he's got a different name from his siblings

Yeah, this is really a non- story

In the story it says lil Future's name was changed "years back."

I'd assume, cause I'm not going to dive deeper into this, that the name change occurred arounf the time Russ fully adopted him.

But what some people may not know or have forgotten, Future changed his own last name.

So why make this kid keep a last name Future himself doesn't even have anymore?

And as you stated, he's got siblings. If Future was more of an involved parent, I'd have an issue but since he's not, and admittedly so, .... mayne let that kid be a Wilson

That may be true, but she isn't likely doing this because of that. It just comes off as another way for her and future to fuck with each other. Its not really in the interest of the kid. Future shits on them in a song and they change/add on to his son's last name.

I know one thing, id leave Ciara the fuck alone. This is next level petty because no one is believing this shit about not wanting the son to feel alienated. That may fly if they weren't famous. Even then, that is more about the mom's ego than the kids feelings.

Russ should know better than to make a potentially bad relationship between a father and son worse. Giving benefit of doubt, he may not have had a choice in the matter.

If it were me, I would have waited until the boy was at least a teen and can make a decision for himself. Having Russ's last name doesn't make the son or Russ love each other anymore or less.

More importantly, that boy will always love his father no matter how shitie he is or how much love Russ shows. They are actually harming the future relationship between father and son. Alot of people may not have a relationship with a parent as a child, but they connect strongly as an adult.
