Listen, hearing this gives me goosebumps even still. I didn't even hear it until after Prince had passed, but this is iconic. I can't imagine anybody being butt hurt over his performance in this, especially George Harrison's punk ass son who The only reason people know who he is is because of his daddy

I saw that interview,a few years ago. I'm like Prince always doing too much that's was part of his schtick on top of being a great musician.
If,you look towards the end of the solo Prince kept looking at Petty and Petty is looking at him and nodding at him to continue...So,I don't understand,why Dhani say it was gratuitous when Prince threw up the guitar.
He also fail to realize that Prince was getting inducted that same night too. On top of making a statement towards Rolling Stone magazine.
